Carries Creatures Rescue and ReBah

Carrie’s Creatures Resuce and Re-bah is shutting its doors. We will no longer be accepting any animals and are in search of a home for 4 goats, an 15 chickens and a rooster, 2 bunnies, and at least 5 cats.

Cancer has ravaged my body, my will and my wallet.

I no longer have the strength, motivation or money to support the 40ish animals on our property work a full time job and maintain my home.

It’s just too much.

The cats -

Rhubarb - 4/6 yo, female, grey and white
Nile - 9/10 yo, Male, grey and white
Blueberry - 3/4 yo, female, black and tiny white on chest.
Mamma kitty - uk age, female, the mother of the kittens we just adopted out
Grumpy - 3 months, male, tabby (last of the kittens to find a home. We thought we’d keep him, but it’s just too much.

The goats -

You all know them.

Penelope - 5/6 yo, female, all white
Vanish - 4/5 yo, male fixed, all white
Elvira - 4/5 yo, female, all white
Obi Juan - 4/5 yo, male, black and white

Chickens -

15 egg layers and one rooster

Bunnies -

Two males brown, one lop, one little meat rabbit saved for being so sweet.

We were blessed with 8 kittens from two litters and unfortunately have only been able to catch one mother. These kittens will be available for adoption in a few weeks, adoption fee will simply be a refund of their vet bills and spay/neuter cost. I unfortunately can’t afford to give them away for free as medical attention for these babies will cost me over $2,500. Starting to fund raise as I am still currently still trying to catch up on my own medical bills from last year 🤦🏼‍♀️ and financially can’t afford it out of pocket at the moment! And one momma who’s going to need a lot of rehab 😅 the little orange boys are already getting a lot of attention, so they are already spoken for 🧡🐱

Over the last three weeks my rescue was blessed with 4 little kittens, unfortunately only one has survived, not only survived, but thrived. We have all fell in love with Ned and are considering a forever home, but with how much time, sacrificed sleep and the trauma of losing his siblings, I am on the fence. He’s my little muffin of joy and I feel like my normal adoption fee just won’t cut losing him. Let me know your thoughts, if you want to adopt Ned, please send me a letter explaining why you’d be his best home and I will have my board members decide as I am too close to want to let go 💔💔💔

The kittens I called Grey scale and Grey girl, have found their forever home!!

Something a potential adopting parent said a while ago struck a cord with me, something along the lines of an animal rescue making money... I just scheduled these 5 munchkins for their spay and neuter, over 1000$, adopting them out for 200$ each just barely covers that. Not to mention shots and all the food and litter that goes with taking care of 6 cats... please don't scoff at adoption fee's, we do this out of love and our own pockets.

That is an entire paycheck for me 😅

Willow still hisses every time I pick her up and acts like I'm going to kill her... then falls asleep in my arms like this... idk what to do with her some times 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
