Enumclaw’s beloved Cole Street turns into Mistletoe Lane every Saturday in December with snow shooting off the buildings at 6pm, Tree Lighting, special appearances by your favorite Christmas characters and lots of opportunities to catch a special someone under the mistletoe!
The Local has a mailbox that goes directly to Santa and Roaring Underground has a mailbox that goes up to Mount Krumpit for the Mean One!

Do you know about Enumclaw Clothing Bank? It is open every Tuesday during the school year from 10 am to 6 pm. Everything is free to families within the Enumclaw School District. They are located in the JJ Smith Building.
ECB is in need of all donations during operational hours on Tuesday. Please bring clean, gently used clothing only to their location.

Our Story

Lightning Clean Car Wash is owned by Alan & Jeri Gamblin. The Gamblins have been in Enumclaw since 1969 when Art Gamblin bought the Chevrolet dealership in town. While Lightening Clean is a separate business from Art Gamblin Motors, the car wash’s conception and roots trace back to the dealership.

Alan Gamblin’s first job at 12 years old was washing cars at his father’s dealership. He continued to wash cars until he graduated from high school. While Alan performed many different jobs growing up, he always came back to washing cars due to the constant turnover of his peers trying their hand at cleaning vehicles. But Art Gamblin could always count on a young Alan in the wash bay; he was consistent. Forty years later and Alan, like his father, was still searching for a consistent and faster way to manage washing cars. During this time Alan has searched for a better and more effective way of washing cars. For the last two years he has researched and tested various car wash systems. He wanted something that would benefit his customers, and the more he researched, he realized that Enumclaw needed a new car wash not only for his customers but the public as well.

The Gamblins determined the car wash needed to be a touchless system that uses sonar to measure the car and adjust its wash distance to ensure the same great results for every vehicle. The car wash also needed to be RFID (radio frequency Identification) tag capable as this would allow his car customers access to a specific number of car washes during their vehicle ownership. This RFID technology also allows for car wash customers to get unlimited car washes by joining a wash membership program. Finally, the Gamblins departed from most car washes by offering free use of vacuums under cover from the elements. Vacuum tokens are dispensed at the car wash pay station to allow customers to vacuum their vehicles.
