A giant 🚢 ship's engine broke down and no one could repair it, so they hired a Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years of experience. ⚙️
He inspected the engine very carefully, from top to bottom. After seeing everything, the engineer unloaded his bag and pulled out a small hammer.
He knocked something gently. Soon, the engine came to life again. The engine has been fixed!
A week later the engineer mentioned to the ship owner that the total cost of repairing the giant ship was $20,000. 💰
"What?!" said the owner. “You did almost nothing. Give us a detailed bill."

Evanston Public Library was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest to provide our community with free copies of Ross Gay’s book of poetry 'Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude,' to be given away at a variety of events from September through May. In partnership with Hive Center For The Book Arts, we will be hosting art and poetry workshops, as well as other events, around the themes of this book of poetry, with a focus on gratitude and joy for where we live.

ETHS moved a two-story home this morning from 1600 Dodge Ave. to 1319 McDaniel Ave. The house was built by students from the ETHS ‘Geometry in Construction’ course. This course provides students the opportunity to learn math by building a home which is then sold as affordable housing!

The program is a collaboration between Evanston Township High School, the City, and Community Partners for Affordable Housing.
