The reason we started “Photos with Santa” years ago was because there were families that didn’t have a professionally framed photo due to lack of money.
For years memories are made not only with pictures but with treats and candy and hot chocolate. In an environment of smiles, hugs, laughter. It has grown over the years from nearly 50 to well over 300.
In a time like none other in our nation with a hateful division and to many other poor behaviors to mention it is the perfect season to show the real reason for the season. This is a platform in which we can do that. If you want to help please comment or inbox us or reach out to Pastor Todd Morgan about the elf meeting this Thursday.

Today they say it’s “Giving” Tuesday. I have two request please.
Number one is, for”give” so you can move forward. As much as I have seen these last number of months with suffering, heartache and death. It is not worth holding onto, ignoring one another, avoiding, and not being willing to sit down and working it out.
The second is, please be one of the last two hundred that could “give” us a little $10 to help us help our littles for Restore Outreach Ministries Christmas. We are down to 2k from $2,500 that will help 160 kids.
Please help me by clicking the secure link below - thank you!

We will miss Anne Harris. She carried herself by herself into The Gathering Church while she was staying at the YWCA and noticed a long time past friend making coffee and that interaction paved the way for her to come back and remain.
For years she arranged and picked up people in the Church van 3 to 4 days a week. Also, to many times to mention she was on the cleaning team to ready the building for services. Not to mention she prepared and oftentimes led recovery meetings.
As of right now the family is preparing for a Celebration of Life service later on in the week at TGC. Exact details will come out later on this afternoon. We know many, many will want to come because so many were impacted by her caring life and literally attributed for saving lives.
She loves Lilly.
Your “ugh!” and angst will lead you to your purpose.
That is what I will be preaching on this Sunday morning at 9:30 and 11:00 at The Gathering Church as we look at the wrestling Jacob in Genesis and how he walked differently after a heavenly encounter.
If you haven’t been to Church in awhile please come see us. Free breakfast at 9:00. Kids registration 10:45

Congratulations to our Restore Back2School family who received the $200.00 Walmart gift card! Congratulations Courtney may you and your family be blessed and your children school year propel them!!
Here is another heart story from yesterday Restore Back2School family fun at Delaware. I love you Stacy, thanks for sharing!
I love their heart stories....
One of many laugh was after Restore Back2School....
Back story...we assist the children getting their supplies into the backpacks they picked. We have people es**rt them around the table to pick out supplies and then they are walked back to parents. Then they go back to line and are introduced to the next child...this picture speaks to the movement that happens in 6.5 hours and over 4 miles of walking. This is crazy good...May all be Blessed for all they did today that I didn't even think about!
So much to say about so many things today at Restore Back2School at Delaware School. It was great to see all the hair coupons gone and majority of shoes and clothes. We had 773 forms for backpacks and supplies completed, but distributed over 800 easily.
But those or just really numbers that speak to the love and care for our commUNITY. There were over 80 volunteers from The Gathering Church, Restore Outreach Ministries, Hope City Church, including information tables (i.e. Hola, IVTech, Kiaros, Youth First) Feed Evansville distribution of lunches to all and generally people just asking to volunteer.
We got to meet and greet over 1000 coming down and through the halls of Delaware Elementary School. Shout out to Delaware for allowing us to use their school, it was awesome and could not have done this without EVSC.
Special shout out to Lori Edmondson Meyer who is always behind the scene making things come together. To Kelly Fehrenbacher and Hope City Church for providing, supplies, snacks, volunteers, drinks and help moving supplies to and from Delaware. Just their overall support makes me see how we can do so much more together than a part.
More is coming...because there is so much to say about the conversation and relationship made today and you will want to hear it all. Soooo....stay tune!
