The RED FLAG ๐ฉ is flying at your Evansville Rescue Mission this week! This means it's INCREDIBLY hot outside with the air temperature and / or the heat index. We will do everything we can to help people cool off inside our facilities. WE NEED BOTTLED WATER AND GATORADE to distribute! Those items can be dropped off at any ERM location around the area. THANK YOU! Pray for the homeless who are currently unsheltered.

AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Your Evansville Rescue Mission is making a small, but significant change in our White Flag protocols effective immediately: We will begin offering White Flag emergency shelter when the temperature (actual or wind chill) lowers to 40* - as opposed to our current temperature threshold of 35*. Just a few short years ago, that number was 32* - so the Mission has made substantial improvements in this practice. Bottom line: Like our partners in the community, we want to help get people off the streets when it's so dangerously cold. We will do everything we can to help facilitate that goal!
This change is effective immediately, and will remain in place until further notice.
