Legion aerified today and most of the crew was able to get out and play at EVCC and get together for a beverage. Thanks to the pro shop crew for all you do.

Anyone want to quote a concrete job for the Joe Richer Junior Golf Club & First Tee at Legion Memorial. Need a quote for a 49'*16' concrete pad (+prep work) that will be used for our junior club, camps and classes. After the pad is completed, covered hitting stalls will be put on top of the concrete pad for the kids to use. Those that would like to quote this project, please reach out to GM Shayne Day or stop by Legion on Wednesday the 20th between 9am and 10am to walk the property for more details. Only a few spots left for our annual Super Scramble Tournament on Saturday Feb10th. Four person scramble. Good payouts, lots of prizes to giveaway, &squares boards for the big game the next day. New this year we are doing separate divisions for Women’s teams and Senior 60+ teams (minimum 6teams to qualify for own division). Stop by the pro shop or Call in to get signed up.

We are open Sunday 1/21 but on temp greens. Ground is frozen solid underneath.

Unfortunately due to frozen surfaces and snow still on the ground, Legion will be closed Saturday 1/20. Sunday is TBD.

FYI-This is what all the greens look like at Legion Wednesday evening 1/17. That is a solid layer of ice with standing water on top of it. Safe to say opening Thursday is very TBD.

Wed 1/17 Legion will be closed again Wed 1/17…..Warmth is coming but with quick warm up and rain we could be on temps for a few days. Ground is frozen deep, top layer will unthaw first and then just turn into mud due to the lower layers still being frozen. This process could take 1-5days depending on temperature and amount of precipitation.

Sun 1/14 Legion Memorial Golf Course is closed due to snow. With forecasted very low temps, decent chance we are closed tomorrow as well. We will update each morning.

Thanks to all the Legion golfers who donated to our Toys for Tots toy drive. We had two truck loads of what was probably over 300 toys. Hello Legion folks. Local player Colton Casto is competing in the World Long Drive World Championship tonight airing on Golf Channel. Check it out on Golf Channel at 5:30pm pacific. Colton is from the Snohomish area. Also Head Pro/GM Shayne Day from Legion will be the official on the tee calling the balls.

Thanks to the Port Gardner Senior Mens club (playing out of Legion Memorial Golf Course) for donating over $1400 to the First Tee program. This will go a long way to helping grow this great game. The Joe Richer Junior Club and the First Tee partnered together in 2022 at Legion Memorial and Walter Hall.

8am 2/22/23 Legion will be closed today 2/22. North end got hit hard early this morning. Still snowing hard. Walter Hall is closed as well as of 8am.
