As most of you know Chayse had a successful double mastectomy on 6/6 and now that she is in the 2nd half of the recovery, she will now be going into her 2nd surgery on July 11th (lymph dissection and lympha) from there her medical team will decide what her radiation and chemo treatment will look like, but it is confirmed that she will need both and chemo will be priority.

While Chayse and her family focus on a positive recovery, we would love your support in whichever way is comfortable for you.

Christian was in a fire Saturday morning and is badly burned, 33% of his body, with his hands and arms the worst. He was flown to Harborview, where he has been admitted into the burn ICU.
His home (that he built with his own hands) and greenhouse (his business) has been completely destroyed.
Please keep him and the rest of his family in your prayers, on your prayer chains and holding space for them for healing and peace.
This GoFundMe has been set up to help cover mounting costs. He will have medical bills, long term physical therapy and hopefully an eventual rebuild of the life and home he worked so hard to create.

If you know us, you know you won’t get Santa photos like ours anywhere else, locally atleast. The past 5 years we’ve seen a FLOOD of Santa photos pop up into the neighborhood, and despite their best efforts, there’s always one component missing.

With “them” you’ve got a knock off Santa, high school button clickers, and it’s all about a cash grab.

WITH US, the Santa is genuine, the suit is quality, the photography and set are professional, and we set the bar HIGH there, we know what we have built here and it’s been fun trying to watch other studios replicate it, even down to the booking site we use.

You wouldn’t think the Santa biz would be a shady one, but unfortunately there is an ugly side that grandma would NOT be proud of. Ohhh the stories we could tell.

Anywhooooo - To those of you who have given us a shot, returned year after year, and refer your friends and family. We see you, we want to work hard for you, and most of all we appreciate you, and value that you’re able to see, that with us it’s not JUST Santa pictures.

We love what we do, we pour our hearts, blood, sweat and tears into this business, even though you only see a glimpse of it for six short weeks.

It matters to us, and we hope it shows!

Oh man! This is not the news we wanted to wake up to. 😞 So sorry for this HUGE loss you guys.

Steve played such a huge part in the lives of many. He lifted the community, and families while he delivered, sports news and the weather report, which for some kids seems boring. Not for me. My mom tells me, from the time I could talk, I asked to watch “T Poo TV” because I couldn’t say Steve Pool

I’ve missed, but will never forget waking up early in the morning on a school day, during the winter waiting to see if we’d have a snow day!

The scroll would float across the bottom of the screen, announcing that school was closed, and although I had my answer for how the day would play out, I sat there enthralled by Steves energy. He had a magical way of capturing my attention in a way that nobody, not even my teachers, ever could!

He’s the reason I know all of the clouds and their names. He’s the reason I never feared bad weather once I became a licensed teenage driver.

This is a part of my childhood gone.
Man, he’s going to be missed.

This smiling face will make a lasting memory in our hearts forever.

Dear Friends,
I am here to share the sad news that my dear husband, my love, has passed away from early-onset Alzheimer's disease. He fought this terrible disease privately for several years, and with every ounce of his being. He told me multiple times to "never count me out" and we never did. This past week it became too much and he passed away peacefully. We are so blessed to have had him in our lives. He was an extraordinary man, husband, father and good friend to many. Please know that he truly loved his job and this community and felt so privileged to be a part of your lives. You were all so good to him and thereby good to us. Our hearts are irretrievably broken. A message from Kylie Owner of EverettSanta.com to all of our beloved and cherished customers who have become friends, and inevitably part of our chaotic Santa family.

Before we head out of office for the new year, we wanted to reflect on this season and show thanks to everyone who supports our (very) small, very crazy business and everyone who made the best out of a less than ideal situation this holiday season and we're going to keep it real, because, don't we always? ;)

First and foremost I have to say - This year with all the back to back illnesses going around, we saw the struggle, trust me when I say that. I think all but 5 families were able to reschedule to a safe date, and although they warned us on the news, the snow really had its moment. But just when it seemed like none of us could catch a break we were surprised to see that almost ALL of our clients from last year had scheduled and made it in to see us one way or another regardless of what craziness was going on in their world. I AM SO PROUD of everyone who pulled through cause when I say we felt it, I mean WE FELT IT. What the clients felt, the business felt, our employees, volunteers, everyone felt it, but guess what? We made it - and so far this has been one of the most fulfilling seasons to date.
***Shout out to everyone who makes this possible. Our greeters, our photographers, our tech helpers, the businesses that share walls with us, and the building owners we rent from. These ones are the real MVP's and we couldn't do it without you.

TO OUR SEASONED CLIENTS - Each year, we see your names come across the books, some of you booking for your 20th Christmas in a row with us, and even though some of you STILL show up late we can't help but get excited to have you back to celebrate. As you walk through our doors for your appointment we see you as you are, a little taller, your families have grown a little bigger since last year, some are furry additions, some are loud and never stop crying, some are bio relatives and others you have added as your chosen family. It is so special to us that you allow us to share that with you. We build relationships here, we care about your lives and your dog's surgery, or the haunting realization that your youngest is about to start college. (ya we can't believe it either) Now, with that being said, while we watched some families grow, we want to acknowledge those we lost this year, some of our longest and dearest clients of the Everett Santa family were gone unexpectedly, and we think of you still because whether you realize it or not, you all make a mark on our hearts one way or the other. I want you to know, no matter the struggles you encounter, you just have to remember that you are not doing this alone. We know personally how difficult it is to carry on family traditions with the loss of a loved one, all the while trying to keep things magical especially for the younger ones. Your loss is our loss and we go through it with different families every year, and I can confidently tell you, it never gets any easier for us to bare witness to your pain. We appreciate you sharing something so intimate with us, even when things are unimaginable. When you are hurting, we feel it too and we want you to know we're proud of you too.

One a lighter note, we saw SO many new faces and names come through the doors and it was such an honor. So many of you have started families this year, and many of you have started new family traditions with us, and we can't tell you just how cool that is. Especially those of you who came to us as kids and now have kids of your own.

A MESSAGE TO THE NEW GUYS - I'm looking at you new clients! All of this crazy you encounter when you support our business, it isn't for nothing! It's not for the likes, and it's not for the dollars. (If it was about the money we'd charge $58/per photo and 2 min session like the mall ewww) Some say we're strict because we have a high expectation or demand, but really, let's just consider it tough love or call it passion for our clients, whatever gets you by. At the end of the day we are only here so we can make sure you leave with the best shot possible. There is a reason you guys book with us, and not the mall. It's our attention to detail and the expectation. We wouldn't ask anything of you that we wouldn't expect from our own family, and trust us dealing with our family is like herding cats, so we're really not asking that much ;) We want you and your kids to look back on these photos when they're 80 years old and say "Wow, I'm so lucky my parents had the opportunity to capture an heirloom like this, just for me."
So, if you're already planning on coming back for another year with us, I want to say thanks in advance. I can tell you it may not always be easy especially when your kids are in the "stranger danger" stage, but I promise you it'll always be worth it. We value your understanding of the product that we produce, the support and encouragement of the time and efforts that it takes to set this up each year, and all the heart that we put into making this all possible. We all have full time jobs and families outside of what we do in these short 6 weeks, and please know that at the end of the day, we do know that we couldn't do it without our clients.
We know the road goes both ways. We do it because CHRISTMAS, we do it for you, we do it for the kids, we do it for the magic.

I hope everyone has a wonderful new year, keep your spirits up and always remember none of us will encounter the same issues as our neighbors day to day and you won't know what anyone is going through unless they tell you, so don't be a turd and get yourself on the naughty list.

I hope you all stay happy and healthy until we see you again when our season starts in 329 short days (yes we asked Alexa)
