We are thrilled to celebrate a remarkable milestone this week. Congratulations to Debbie Morrison for an incredible 45 years of dedication and hard work with Omega Design! She has been a cornerstone of our success, embodying our values every step of the way. We truly appreciate her dedication, positivity, and expertise, and are honored that she was the first employee to reach this milestone.
At Omega debuted its Robot Pack Assist for the Intelli-Pac. This industrial collaborative robot (by Universal Robots) is easy to instruct and extremely safe to work alongside. When paired with Omega's Intelli-Pac, the Robot Pack Assist can increase case loading speeds up to 70%, while freeing an operator to focus on other steps in the packing process. Omega's Intelli-Pac is the industry's premier serialized case packing solution for bottles or cartons, bundled or loose, with options to integrate semi-auto assist technologies.
As part of Omega Design's commitment to workforce development, the company hosted a private, learning event for 55 university students on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021. Omega is a mentor and sponsor for the Junior Mechanical Engineering Design Project at the University of Delaware. The company invited these engineering students to its manufacturing facility to observe machine design theory in practice. https://vimeo.com/605027407

FOOD, FUN, AND GOOD COMPANY
Omega recently hosted a private Summer Picnic at its facility in Exton, Pa as the company cautiously relaxes Covid-19 protocols. For many in attendance, this event was the first opportunity in over 15 months to reconnect with colleagues in-person and to meet new company hires.
Employees spent the afternoon relaxing outdoors, playing games, and enjoying plenty of food and drink, including visits to the Mister Softee ice cream truck. During a prepared speech, Omega’s President, Glenn Siegele, thanked everyone for their commitment, flexibility, and creative problem solving throughout the year, and presented employee service awards and special acknowledgments.
Omega Summer Picnic 2021 was a poignant contrast to a year of isolated lockdown, and an affirmation for the respect and camaraderie Omega employees share towards one another.
