Lots of kale this week for orders!

We harvest loads and loads of cabbage today! Except lots available for this coming week!

~Recap of the final day of Down to Earth(since we forgot to post🙈)

Spent the early morning picking a variety of different produce and showing correct ways to harvest. Then moved on to processing and demonstrated our process of washing and packing, and gave everyone the opportunity to try it out for themselves! After breakfast we moved our focus to the orchard… talking about a variety of things such as pruning, proper planting, picking, correct nutrients, and overall health.

Red curly leaf kale is loaded! Should be some available on the order list next week.

This past week the broccoli has really started picking up and we’re getting loads of broccoli in.

To wrap up the night we ended with our annual night time walk through the woods and ended up by the creek bank. Had much more great conversation there as well! Ready for a good nights sleep so we can do it all over again tomorrow!

And it’s officially Down to Earth time! Already having some amazing discussion time and lots of questions. I think I speak for everyone when I say we’re all gathering new information and learning from eachother!

A current favorite saying going around the farm is, “Wow I think I could sit in a lawn chair and watch the plants all day long”… one of these somebody is most definitely going to follow through with that😂
