This morning I wanted to share all about my slow intentional more for so I gathered my items and spent the next few minutes setting them up to take the perfect picture that I thought would inspire others to do the same.

BUT WHY? Why so we feel this need to “stage” everything we do to entice other when in reality we are all craving We want to know and connect with other women who don’t wake up to the perfect home, life, marriage - get it?

Will I stop taking maybe not but I will start sharing the reality of my life.

The reality that I am struggling with and anything else that I have going on!

Every Saturday my family and I observe the Sabbath and rest.

It is a biblical principle and command for us and something I have become so grateful for.

Setting aside all the work and embracing a full day of rest with Yeshua is hands down one the best things for my mental heath.

1. Plan a crockpot meal for the day and let the fam eat an east breakfast
2. Clean/tidy the day prior
3. Let the kids sleep in, stay in PJs
4. Unplug from SM
5. Let the dishes pile up…yes today is for resting
6. Go for a walk
7. Do not overthink the day!

When I wake up Sunday, my energy, creativity, and strategic brain are firing on all 4 cylinders! It’s like a super boost! �
Even if you are not a religious person, I highly recommend taking a day to rest!!!

Just try it.

🌈COLOR COMBINATIONS - Let’s face it…we are all guilty of grabbing for the same colors like a warm blanket that feels safe. Make it a goal in 2022 to step out of your comfort zone. Maybe gold and hot pink?

📸STAGING IDEAS - This is where I struggle the most. I pay attention to how items are grouped and the types of items used. I also love the drama of closeup shots and angles. I like to call these the MONEY SHOTS.

👩‍🎨TECHNIQUES - Are all your projects looking the same? Style, color placement, finishes? (GOLD GILDING WAX IS NOT THE ONLY OPTION PEOPLE) Do you always paint light on top and dark towards the bottom? Me too. Lately I have been loving pins that are the opposite. Or, maybe you want to give gold leaf a try and not sure where to put it? There is a pin for that! And my favorite, TRANSFER PLACEMENT! I can agonize for days on how to put that on!

Just remember, there are no “rules.” Give yourself permission to try new things and for crying out loud….HAVE FUN!!!
