We're excited to share our newest project in Rockville, Maryland. Congressional OBGYN was growing out of their current inefficient office location and needed a larger, more organized, and visually inviting space to fit their growing practice which included a surgical suite. 🩺 FMStudios worked with one of the owners and his team to come up with an efficient and functional space that is appealing to their patients and staff. Explore the full space here: https://fmstudios.com/congressional-obgyn
Our current dynamic and fluid work environment, along with all future space utilization unknowns, is creating multiple challenges for corporations’ bottom line. The old technologies of managing real estate may not be working to provide timely and accurate information. FMStudios' Principal, Rich Fanelli, recently spoke to two tech experts about their views on technology trends in the workplace. Explore our findings on the blog: https://fmstudios.com/news-marquee//technology-investments-to-meet-new-space-challenges
Bright paint, large geometric patterns and vibrant colors bring bold energy to TEOCO's updated headquarter space. The firm, a leading provider of analytics and network automation, trusted FMStudios to help consolidate several office areas at their Fairfax, VA headquarters into a single floor space. The new consolidated space offers employees closed office environments, a modern reception area, a pantry, a large mailroom, a large conference room and smaller meeting rooms for collaboration. Take a look at the full project here: https://fmstudios.com/teoco
We’re excited to introduce the newest member of the FMStudios team: Junior Designer Dominque Fortune. Dominique is a Virginia native and graduate of Virginia Tech. In her free time, you may catch her on her quest to find the best bubble tea, playing tennis, traveling to new places, or cheering on the Steelers. Her philosophy is that everyone deserves access to quality design that caters to individual needs without damaging health or the environment, and she remains passionate about the push for inclusive, sustainable design. Join us in welcoming Dominique to our team!
FMStudios worked with this government contractor on the full floor design for their space in El Segundo, CA. As a white boxed space, it was a blank canvas to start with and allowed us to incorporate the client’s program and desired image. With a primarily open office layout, we capitalized on the clean white ceiling deck and introduced glass at all closed offices and conference rooms to bring in the California sunshine. During International Facility Management Association (IFMA) World Workplace 2022 in September, Rich Fanelli had the pleasure of being the subject matter expert on Change Management. Roundtable discussions with many Facilities Managers resulted in a long list of major issues managers are experiencing as their organizations' staff returns to the office and as they undergo change management initiatives. We shared the top responses on the blog: https://fmstudios.com/news-marquee//change-management-discussions-at-ifmas-world-workplace-2022
Bold patterns, custom millwork and a variety of texture are all front and center in our latest project. To meet this client's dynamic workspace needs, we created various meeting and gathering areas in addition to employee offices and hoteling spaces. The design of this first-floor space is focused on creating an open, inviting environment while still defining each area in a flexible way. Last night, FMStudios' Principal Rich Fanelli attended the Speed Interviewing event hosted by Capital Chapter of IFMA. He and other volunteers were honored to mock interview with students from SOME (So Others Might Eat) who are training to become future HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing Technicians. Our group was pleased to help them prepare for real world interviews. Pictured: Maurice Marrow with DC Bar, Rich Fanelli, Kelly Witfield with Meridian, Wendy Libert with AIR and John McKay with the Department of Education.
