SPRING 2024 RELEASE — as the day lengthens and the weather warms up, we introduce three new wines as the first release of the new SUNSET SUISUN’s VINE OWNER’s CLUB.

🌹Hydrangea Rosé of Tempranillo — this deep ruby red rosé is opulent and vibrant, loaded with notes of fresh strawberries and framed by a creamy mouthfeel. This wine was inspired by rosé of Tempranillo from our sister winery in Rioja Alavesa, Spain.

🍷 Grenache — we believe Grenache is a grape of our climate future. Heat- and drought-tolerant, Grenache can showcase pretty bing cherry notes and earthy tones not unlike Pinot Noir. This 2020 vintage hailed from Paso Robles where the wine expresses more earth and spice, with a bright acid finish.

🍷 Syrah — very rare opportunity to savor Syrah from Rutherford, at the heart of Napa Valley, where “Rutherford Dust” is the name of the game. The chocolate, coco nibs, and roasted chestnut complement the dark fruit core and dusty tannins.

Exactly one year ago, on April 1, 2023, these whisker-donned connoisseurs embarked on an adventure: crafting their very own wine blend, aptly named THREE CATS BLEND. With the unwavering support of SUNSET CELLARS club members in Japan, they put their paws together and let the crowd decide. Over 2,300 votes later, the blend emerged—a harmonious trio of Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel. Bottled with precision, it boasts the purrfection of three amazing grapes: fruit-forward notes with an extra aging depth, all wrapped up in the Zen Zin philosophy.

The wine is available for purrchase at SUNSET SUISUN and online (sunsetcellars.com) this month of April. Only ONE BARREL of this wine was made, so act fast!

Join us for a journey to a fantasy world through music of Chie "Kidlit" Kurihara, Sunset Cellars' visiting artist and Tokyo-based video game soundtrack composer. Chie will perform songs from iconic video games and beloved anime movies such as Final Fantasy and My Neighbor Totoro as well as her original songs and special improvisation inspired by Suisun Valley wines.

Chie is a popular figure in the Japanese video game music scene. Her musical style is influenced by stories and images rather than genres. She often uses toy instruments, synthesizers, and "everyday sounds."
