Fun fact: She’s actually stretching out a rainbow that has been bleached over the years by the sun. 🌈

The sculpture was created by Lisa Reinertson and her inspiration was the beauty in the valley and the combination of agriculture and nature. She stands in the roundabout at the intersection of Abernathy and Rockville road as a gateway to the rural Suisun Valley.

Embark on a scenic journey westward along the Middle Valley Trail, leading to the stunning Prairie Ridge. This moderate-paced, 5-mile hike traverses uneven terrain, featuring muddy patches marked by cattle prints and steep climbs over multiple hills, with the longest ascent at Prairie Ridge. The effort is well worth it for the breathtaking view of the northern San Francisco Bay.

Fairfield is home to many popular attractions for visitors of all ages including:

Jelly Belly Candy Company - The world-famous candy company is open daily, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with free self-guided factory tours offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (samples included, of course!) Be sure to stop at the cafe after your tour, where you can enjoy a bean shaped pizza or cheeseburger.

Suisun Valley Wine Country - There are over a dozen tasting rooms, all family-owned, in Fairfield’s Suisun and Green Valleys. Six of the tasting rooms - Wooden Valley Winery, Vezer Family Vineyard’s Mankas Gardens and Blue Victorian, BackRoad Vines, G V Cellars, and Il Fiorello Olive Oil Company - are open daily.

Delectable Olive Oil Tastings - Learn the best ways to pair olive oils and vinegars with visits to Il Fiorello Olive Oil Company and Sonoma Harvest Olive Oil & Winery.

Outdoor Adventures - There are over two dozen trails at Rockville Hills Regional Park for hikers and mountain bikers to explore. Have a picnic at the lake or explore the caves in the hills. Be sure to also check out the open spaces in Fairfield owned and managed by the Solano Land Trust. Rush Ranch is located in the Suisun Marsh and Lynch Canyon is located off Interstate 80, between Fairfield and Vallejo.

Fun for the Kids - In addition to the Jelly Belly Factory, Fairfield is also home to Driven Raceway, Scandia Family Fun Center, and the Western Railway Museum.
