I'm not normally one to post conversations on Facebook, but this was an exchange this evening from the client who cancelled her appointment with me in June because she didn't want to wear a mask. She contacted me the other day to reschedule.

Attention clients: I am operating under the guidelines and enhanced policies to help limit the spread of covid 19.
As such your cooperation is essential to the operation of my business:
I will be checking all clients temperature with a noncontact thermometer upon entry into the salon. Anyone with a temperature over 99.9°F will have to reschedule their appointment for a later date
All clients are required to wear a face mask of some type. Masks that loop behind the ears are better than those that tie behind the head for hair services, but I will work around whatever you have.
Only clients actively receiving services are permitted in the salon. Guests, e.t.c, must wait in the vehicle. Please do not bring children with you unless they are scheduled to be serviced or can be safely left in the car.
Upon arrival to the salon, please text me and remain in your vehicle until I'm ready to start your services.
If you don't hear from me by 5 minutes after your appointment start time, you may come to my room to let me know you've arrived, then return to your vehicle until I'm ready.
I will be following sanitation procedures issued by State Board very closely. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them and or demonstrate sanitation procedures for you.

So I'm gonna be just a LITTLE bit petty. I've just had my first cancellation because a client doesn't "feel it's necessary to wear a mask". I'm actually offended by this.
I'm highly asthmatic myself, and I live with my 77 year old father who has severe asthma and COPD. I can't risk his or my health any more than is necessary.
I'm required by the Ohio State Barber and Cosmetology Board to wear a mask while at work. That's a good 8 hours. You're not going to die because you had to wear one for an hour or 2.
I also no longer am operating out of my own building and am instead working out of a private suite. The owner of the salon suites requires clients to wear a mask so I just have to follow the rules. Rules that are there to protect myself, the other stylists, and all of our clients. Maybe try removing your head from your re**um and thinking of other people instead of yourself. 😡😡😡

Hello everyone! I will remain open for regular business during the Coronavirus outbreak, unless or until officials mandate that I close down.
Please be sensible during this time and if you are experiencing any flu like symptoms - body aches, chills, fever, difficulty breathing, e.t.c- contact me and I'll gladly reschedule your appointment.

I'm having surgery January 7th 2020 and won't be returning to work until February. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience I know this causes. I have a MAJOR problem My phone did a system update this morning and deleted tons of my scheduled appointments from my calendar on Google somehow. so if you have an appointment scheduled with me anytime in the next few months please text me the date and time and what services you are having done so that I can put it back on my calendar

Hello everyone, a little PSA to let you know Billy will be out of the salon from January 7th until January 31 for a tonsillectomy. Due to this, all NEW/ GROUPON clients that aren't already scheduled will be scheduled February 1 and after. Returning customers may schedule for the remaining open appointments between now and January 6th.
