O'Shea's Bouquets

When I see Easter bulb gardens at the grocery store, I can't help but take one home for floral projects 😍

I took some pips (even though I'm slightly allergic!) and created a fun hoop earring. How fun would this be for a look?!

(I still hate being my own model btw 😅)

It was such a blast putting together the flowers for The Thorsons!

I see Easter as a season of growth & new beginnings. Flowers can often reflect those sentiments as well. Let us all rejoice in this day knowing that He is risen!

As a wedding & event florist, I don't do daily deliveries so Valentine's Day is not a holiday that keeps me busy. However, I know this weekend is HUGE for shops that do daily deliveries! I know the amount of work it takes to have a successful Valentine's Day in a flower shop & I want to shout out all the florists working their blooms off right now! 🌹
So, here's some ways you can show appreciation for your LOCAL florist:

➡️ First & most importantly, support your LOCAL florists throughout the year! Watch out for order gathering websites--they take a huge cut from local florists. Call the actual florist or make sure it is their website you're ordering from, not any site with a 1-800 number listed to call.

➡️ If you purchase or receive a bouquet that made your day, tell them that!! Tag them on social media, leave a positive review, and/or recommend them to friends 👍

➡️ Follow them on social media & interact with their posts. The amount work & love put into every pretty picture of bouquets you see often goes unappreciated. Show some love for floral artistry!

➡️ If you have a florist in your family or friend circle, give them a gigantic hug this week.. and maybe a basket of spa goodies. I guarantee their hands & feet will be burning & blistered.

➡️ Tip your delivery driver. Valentine's Day is bananas, & drivers are sent in a thousand different directions throughout the week. They often have to use their own vehicle, gas & phone data to find unknown places. Tipping is optional & unexpected, but always appreciated! Think of it the same way as ordering a pizza. If you're the one ordering the flowers, ask if you can tip the driver ahead of time. If you're the recipient & feel inclined to do so, then go for it! It will make the day of the driver, guaranteed!

Just hopping on to wish you all some flower love for your weekend 💕 I'll be spending the weekend working on some flower preservation projects so keep an eye out for those posts! It's been a while since I've posted here.. 2021 started out rough personally for me with the loss of my Grandma. The only way I could get somewhat through was through flowers. Sympathy flowers are not my specialty, I focus on weddings & formal events. But I felt called to do the flowers for her. She loved flowers so much & I can't think of a better way I could pay tribute to her. I know she was watching over me as I created for her ❤ Thank you to all of those whom I had delayed communication with due to her passing for being so understanding. I will leave you with the words Grandma Patsy said to me one of the last times I brought her flowers: "How can anyone be unhappy with such beautiful flowers around?!"

As we go into this final week of 2020 (Hallelujah!), I'm reflecting on the crazy parts of this year & how they shaped the blessings of this year..

What 2020 showed me is that there's no time like now to grab hold of your dream & make it fuel your day! Just as I'm holding this bouquet tight, I'm holding my floral dreams tight & ready to share all I have to offer going into 2021!

Here's hoping that you grow through what you go through
