My name is Leticia Morris, but I go by Lulu! I was born in Monrovia, Liberia and moved to the United States at the age of 6. I love reading and writing poetry. I graduated from Baldwin High school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and played rugby at Cal U of PA .

In 2016, I moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota to further my education at St. Cloud State University, where I majored in Psychology. In 2018, I moved again, but this time to Fargo, North Dakota so I could begin a new life. I began school at the Salon Professional Academy about 7 months ago, and recently graduated! I am excited to begin my journey as a nail tech at Polished in Osgood, and I’m looking forward to meeting new people and building my clientele.

Good news! We have been re-evaluating some of our COVID precautionary measures and have decided that we can ease up on a few restrictions.

Changes starting Wednesday, July 1:

* cellphones will be allowed in salon for purposes of picture inspiration only. We ask you please refrain from using them while receiving a nail service.

* Services for our young clients 5 and older will be offered again. They will need to wear masks, have an appointment and be accompanied by an adult. Children without a service appointment will not be allowed.

We will be implementing a temporary $2 COVID safety surcharge to each appointment. Thank you for your understanding during this time.

North Dakota is allowing salons to reopen May 1 and we will be resuming business at all 3 locations on Monday, May 4th. Team members will be meeting this weekend to go over new safety procedures, clean and prepare salons for operation.

Appointments will be available via phone only SATURDAY MAY 2 from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Please call the location you'd like to schedule at one of the numbers below during this time.

Here are some things you can expect when you visit any of our locations for the foreseeable future.

What we will continue to do:

1 - washing hands and cleaning stations between each client
2 - disposing or cleaning and sanitizing used tools in a disinfectant after each client
3 - surgical masks worn during nail services

Additional measures we will be taking to reopen safely:

1 - plexiglass barriers between clients at the stations if unable to observe social distancing.
2 - extra time allowed between appointments to properly clean stations for the next guest
3 - removal of a waiting area and product testers
4 - frequent cleaning of high traffic and touchpoint areas
5 - staff members feeling sick will be asked to stay home
6 - hand sanitizer will be available outside our doors to be utilized
7 - no services to children under 12 at this time and will not permit parents to bring children who are not also receiving a service.
8 - techs will be wearing a face shield in addition to masks during nail services

What we ask from our clients during this time:

1 - if you are sick or think you may be sick, we will not perform any services
2 - everyone entering the premises will be required to wear a mask before entering
3 - clients will be asked to check in and then wait in vehicles until it is time for their appointment
4 - appointments will strongly be encouraged, walk-ins may be taken if we have the capacity to do so safely
5 - please leave all unnecessary personal items, including cell phones, in your vehicle to reduce transmission risk

Your (and our staff’s) safety is our priority in the Smart Restart plan and we are looking forward to providing services again. Thank you in advance for your patience as we all try to navigate through this unprecedented time together.

**Closure update**

Governor Burgum has extended personal service business closures for an additional 10 days, tentatively reopening on May 1st. We will keep you updated here with any new information we receive. Stay safe!

We are closed until the 20th, goverment order. We will not reschedule appointments until after we are given the ok to open. We will call all of you again, to rebook, or feel free to call the salon to rebook when the governor gives us the "ok" to open.

Dear clients,

We know you have so much to take care of in these uncertain times and wanted to keep you updated on what Polished plans are. We're closely monitoring the coronovirius (COVID-19) situation and will remain open until we are no longer able to.

Here's our plan:

• All 3 locations with remain open with regular business hours

•We are making sure our salons are safe for you and our Team Members. That means continuing to follow the sanitizing and disinfecting protocol laid out by the ND Board of Cosmetology as well as increasing general daily cleaning of the salon.

•Each work and pedicure station is thoroughly disinfected after every service. Technicians will continue to thoroughly wash hands with soap and water between each client. Hand sanitizer is available at every station. Reusable implements are washed with soap and water and disinfected in Marvicide for 10:00. Disposable implements are thrown after each client.

•Health and safety are our top priority. If you feel that you may be sick, please cancel and stay home to recover. If any of our staff are unwell, we will keep them out of the salon as well.

As the #1 priority of our business, your health and safety are always of the utmost importance. We know that your family count on you to take care of them. Our commitment is to be here for you in the safest way possible.
