The Visitor Center will be closed this weekend, May 27-28. We will be open on Memorial Day, May 29.

The Visitor Center will open at 12 pm today.

Travel Ambassadors are responsible for greeting incoming travelers and assisting with information on Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo, North Dakota, and Minnesota. We are the first people many travelers meet coming into North Dakota, so we must be enthusiastic about the area and what we offer. Because of the large volume of people who come to the Visitor Center, this position requires someone who is energetic and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with various people.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greeting travelers and offering information about the area, including:
o Directional advice
o Local attractions and things to do
o Events going on in the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area
• Take pictures of visitors with “The Woodchipper” from the movie Fargo
• Sell and restock merchandise items in our gift shop
• Assist the Event Services department and other full-time staff with various projects
• Keep the Visitor Center clean and well-stocked

REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Must be able to read a road map
• Knowledge of the major attractions in the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area
• Have the willingness to learn

The FMCVB is searching for a detail-oriented person for the role of Office Coordinator. The primary responsibilities for this position include data entry, maintaining inventory, assisting with coordinating travel itineraries for meeting planners, tour operators, travel writers, tournament directors, etc., and assisting with organizing annual events hosted by the FMCVB. The Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Convention & Visitors Bureau is looking for a customer service-oriented individual to help execute reservation and event services for sports clients and participants. The sports services specialist will work directly with the director of sports and other sports department staff to ensure the efficient operation of all housing bureau and sports event-related services. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to Accounting, including monthly financials, payables & checks, deposits, lodging tax documents, payroll, HR duties, and filing systems. The Director of Accounting & Operations will also have primary responsibility for the operation and upkeep of the building and grounds and act as liaison with our IT provider. Must be able to move/lift up to 40 lbs. Accounting degree preferred.

This position exists to provide a variety of services for conventions, tournaments, and special events in the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area. This will include creating name badges, banners and signs, assisting with on-site registration, and any other services a group may request. A breakdown of duties is 30% design, 40% printing/assembling, and 30% other. This position is full-time (40 hours/week) to be worked in an office environment, with health and compensation benefits. A bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in graphic design and extensive knowledge of creative editing are recommended. Good written and verbal skills and organizational skills are key to the success of the position.

The mission of the CVB is to market this area as a destination for visitors, so the mission of this position is to promote our hospitality services to our visitors and event delegates. We do this to enhance the image of Fargo-Moorhead in the minds of travelers and event attendees and contribute to the economic welfare of the community and our states.

The housing bureau assistant will work directly with the housing bureau manager and other sports department staff to ensure the efficient operation of all housing bureau-related services.
