Happy Monday! 😁 We rearranged our gallery walls again and are featuring a number of lovely new pieces. We will be closed on Thursday the 4th for Independence Day, but drop by any other day this week to admire our artists' beautiful work!

Happy Monday from the Underbrush Gallery! Today's artist feature is Todd Voss. 🎉
Todd's biography:
"Born and raised in Davenport, IA, the rolling wooded farmland of the Mississippi River Valley influenced my early connection to the land. I always had a passion and talent for making art, so I pursued it at St. Ambrose College in Davenport and Maharishi University in Fairfield, IA. I have lived in Minnesota since 1998, currently in Detroit Lakes.
My paintings typically begin with field studies, small oils done outdoors on location. Then in the studio, I make larger paintings from these studies and reference photographs. I work in a traditional painterly realistic style. Although I specialize in Midwest farm landscapes, I paint wherever I travel."

Artist Feature: Tarjei Nossum
Tarjei is a Minnesota-born artist, raised in Seattle, WA. He has been honing his skills as a glass artist since his teens! Present-day, he owns a studio in downtown Fargo. Our gallery is excited to showcase Tarjei's beautiful new fused glass artwork!

Meet Hannah, the newest member of the Underbrush Gallery team! Originally from Oklahoma, Hannah moved to Fargo earlier this year with her husband, Colton, and their cat, Charles. With her background in custom framing and professional photography, she is ready to assist our clients with any of their art and framing needs! 🎉

Fun fact - did you know during the Middle Ages, men would draw the names of women who they would be coupled with for the upcoming festivities. After choosing, the men wore the names on their sleeves to show their bond.🤝

Zhimin Guan has been a professor of art at MSUM since 1998. Guan has exhibited his art throughout the United States and China. He has been featured in 200 professional exhibitions and received 30 awards in the US and China!
