NDSU - Bison Ambassadors
Cultivating a culture of philanthropy through educating students and engaging alumni supporters
Since Brenna Solheid ’25 was a young girl, one family member was insistent: “You’re going to be a woman in STEM!” Today, Brenna is a junior at North Dakota State University, majoring in mechanical engineering and minoring in Spanish, with an internship at John Deere under her belt.
As a scholarship recipient, Brenna can invest more time and attention on her studies and being involved on campus, from NDSU - Bison Ambassadors, where she represents the University as a student leader and engages with NDSU alumni and friends, to the NDSU Society of Women Engineers, where she gets to teach and inspire kids interested in STEM.
Seeing NDSU alumni support the University increases her Bison pride. 🤘
“It’s so beneficial; every student appreciates it. Just to see that people want to give back so much, it helps students realize how much NDSU cares.”
On Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, join the community of NDSU alumni and supporters in celebrating . During this one-day, online fundraising event, give to the areas of campus you are most passionate about and support the NDSU student experience.

Last, but certainly not least, is Zach Quirk! 🕺🤩
“I love BA for how established on campus it is. There is always a plan and events that we know we will execute. I have also made the most important connections I have ever made in my life.”
Next up is our VP of Marketing, Carissa Mohrman! 🎨📸
“I am so glad that I decided to join Bison Ambassadors a few years ago. I was looking for an organization to be part of that was consistent and developed, would allow me to meet new people, help me be more involved, and give me a chance to serve others. Bison Ambassadors has provided all of this. My passion for philanthropy, the act of promoting the welfare of others, has only grown! It is so cool to see how the generosity of alumni and those in the community has positively affected campus! I’m so thankful for the amazing staff at the Foundation I have gotten connect with and learn from.”
Next up is our VP of Operations, Gus Lasch! 👨💻🔗
“I love BA because it gives me a chance to build relationships with people of all different backgrounds at NDSU as well as alumni in the very fields that I am interested in! BA has truly made me feel proud to be an NDSU student and has welcomed me with open arms since day one.”
Next up for the Exec highlight is our VP of Membership, Kayla Kuehl! 👩🏽🧩
“My reason for liking BA is simple. I love the people. I have said this so many times, but I find it extremely comforting to know that the people that have impacted my college life the most are the students that come from this organization. BA’s are all driven, supporting, funny, and amazing people that I have had the pleasure of knowing. Each person comes from a different major, background, and experiences, and having the opportunity to learn from one another and grow with them is one of the most beautiful things that this organization gets to do. Our mission is to cultivate a culture of philanthropy through educating students and alumni. Yet, we have become like a family. Knowing that we get to make a difference in each others lives, but continuously make a difference for the alumni and campus is truly what fills my heart. That is what it really means to be a Bison.”
Exec Team applications are now open for current members to apply! Over the next month, we will be highlighting each Exec member and their position!
First up is our president, Jonah Enochson! 👏🏼🫡
“Getting involved as a member and serving on the Exec Team has not only helped me develop personal and professional skills that are applicable outside of BA, but it has also deepened my passion for NDSU as a whole. I have made so many great memories and friends since I joined BA!”

This weeks BA spotlight is Shan Donovan! He is a senior majoring in Biological Science from Onamia, MN.
"Bison Ambassadors means community! It's a community in which you can give back and show your appreciation to the donors who support you!"
BA spotlight posts are back! This week we are featuring Natalie Lemnus, a junior from Valley City majoring in Finance and Marketing.
To her BA means “being a part of something that is greater than oneself. It takes all of us to make NDSU a place for everyone to feel like they are welcome and that they belong. I find it to be a super cool responsibility that we have to serve the students and advance the philanthropic efforts at NDSU.”
