Celebrating Excellence in Service and Dedication

These men they call Knights have reached new heights through their unwavering commitment to charity, unity, and fraternity. Knights of Columbus Council 5052 is honored to be named Council of the Year by the Dallas Diocese Chapter.

Over the past two years, our members have achieved extraordinary feats, including raising over $180K for the American Wheelchair Mission with the invaluable support of Mary Immaculate parishioners. This effort has earned us back-to-back second-place finishes nationally—an impressive accomplishment.

Our dedication extends beyond fundraising. We’ve welcomed 55 new members and actively engaged in our core programs: faith, family, life, and community. The recent accolades of Council of the Year, Star Council with Excellence, and other awards reflect the relentless efforts and steadfast devotion of our members.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all these men they call Knights, their families, and the community we serve for your unwavering support and encouragement.

Venerable Father McGivney, pray for us!

Funeral Services for Alicia Gallardo:

As we grieve the devastating loss of our dear Alicia, we find comfort in our faith and the promise made by our Lord for eternal glory. It is that faith we draw upon at this time, to pray for the repose of Alicia’s soul and for ease and comfort for Domingo and their children, Carissa, Karime, Sophia and Abraham, and for her entire family, friends and colleagues.

With heavy hearts, we at Mary Immaculate Church mourn the loss of Mel A. Schraufnagel, who passed away peacefully on May 22nd, 2024. Mel and his family, as well as his wife Kathleen and her family, grew up in the Catholic Community of Mary Immaculate and have served in many volunteer roles over the years. Mel joined the staff of MIC in 2008 as our Facilities Manager. He took special pride in knowing each nook and cranny of the Church and School facilities, and both are indebted to Mel, for his long years of service and excellence.

Services for Mel will be held at Mary Immaculate Church next week.

Vigil and Rosary: Tuesday, May 28th at 7pm
Held in the main Sanctuary

A Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, May 29th at 11am
Held in the main Sanctuary

We extend our most sincere condolences to Mel’s wife, Kathleen, and the entire Schraufnagel family.
Please join us in praying for his family during this difficult time. May he rest in eternal peace.

Called and Gifted Workshop — Mary Immaculate Catholic Church 03/26/2024

Come to our workshop on April 6th to learn how God works through the spiritual gifts / charisms you received at baptism to build up the body of Christ and re-evangelize the world around you. This program focuses on the 23 most common charisms, and then teaches you how to discern which ones you received. For instance, you might learn that you have pastoring, service, music, evangelism, leadership, helps, encouragement, and/or healing. Once you know your charisms, you can find places to minster where you will be most fulfilled and effective. Click the link for more information. Not available on April 6th? Check back soon. We will be hosting workshops throughout the year.

Called and Gifted Workshop — Mary Immaculate Catholic Church Have you ever wondered about those gifts you received at baptism: what they do, and how they might impact your life? Come and start your journey into the supernatural world of charisms, the impact they can have on your life, and how they can change the world in which we live.
