I love love love tattooing pet portraits! I did this at the motor city tattoo expo, one sitting 8.5 hours of tattooing. This portrait is of a friend’s dog that passed away. It was extra special being able to do the portrait for a friend.

I did this piece in 1, 9.5 hour sitting at the it was so much fun and I learned a lot over the weekend. Can’t wait to come back next year and do it all again!!

I also got some super positive feedback about my Seeds class for aspiring tattoo artists. Keep an eye out as I’ll be posting more and more about it this month.

I have a little announcement and am looking for some input. I’m starting a class for people who would like to become a tattoo artist. The class would cover everything I can think of that one would need before starting an apprenticeship.

From portfolio building all the way up to what to look for in a good mentor/shop. Some direction on how to set up social media and how to set up a booking system. By the time the class is done, my students should be able to confidently take their portfolio to a prospective shop and present it. Ideally impressing the prospective shop/mentor.

I have no idea what I want to charge for this or what someone would be willing to pay but I’m designing it sort of like a prerequisite to a prospective apprenticeship. Any suggestions would be super helpful. Here’s a draft of what I was putting together.
