Life is a Journey. Roll the window down and enjoy the ride ;)
As Henry David Thoreau put it, "We are constantly invited to be who we are."
It's a hard thing, being authentic! But when it comes to personal branding, there's no better path to success than building trust with your clients by showing personal confidence and being "real."
For anyone doubting that moms have eyes 👀 in the backs of their heads?! This mama doesn’t miss a thing with her triplets even when they’re falling from the trees behind her! our yearly “fall”🍁 photoshoot was never so literal 😂🤷♀️
Such an intimate and rare glimpse into Bambi’s life! ❤️🍀🙏🏻This doe and fawn were wandering, drinking, nursing and frolicking along the Farmington River here in CT. So lucky to capture this!
A doe and her sweet little nursing fawn, prancing along the Farmington River. Just so sweet!
Just when I thought I’d seen the last of the blooms, the rain brings about another stunner 🌸🌱❤️
Once the Great Blue Heron swam the huge fish he'd caught over to the rocks, he had a bit of a time getting in down his gullet!
Wildlife is so amazing!
You never know what the Great Blue Heron is going to provide for entertainment!
This morning it was a huge fishing expedition, during which he caught one in the water but couldn't handle the size of the fish! So the heron swam to the rocks, almost lost the fish twice and gulped it down in one fell swoop!
Heron one, fish zero.
I had time to go back inside and grab my camera, so check for the photos next post!

As an artist, color has always been something I loved...This Feb 15th I will be sharing a new venture in photography, capturing the aura!
It's a very interesting electrical field and a fun way to gain insight into what we are "putting out there" or how we feel to be around!
I will be joined by Erina Larkin who will be facilitating an evening of mindful coloring, to relax and take care of ourselves during the week of love❤️

I’ve seen these two monuments across the street from each other for decades but today it looked different to me…sitting at the light next to this beautiful statue somehow it looked like it was attacking. I’m going to read that plaque again 🤷♀️❤️
What a fun way to raise money! Loved photographing “Life’s A Drag, Let’s Do Brunch!” with The de Luxe Sisters, Morgana & Mini de Luxe! ❤️💯🎉
Life's a Drag...Let's Do Brunch - Christine Petit ISCofALLCT's "Life's a Drag...Let's Do Brunch!" Held at the Pond House, West Hartford, CT November 6, 2022. Photos by Christine Petit of Le Petit Studio, www.PetittPics.com. [email protected] with inquiries.
This is about where I’m at this year!
Business all but disappeared during COVID, but events came back times three in 2022!
Also recently finished constructing a new studio space, which is great as I can now do headshots and small group portraits in-house; but wow renovations are more demanding than small children at times!😂😳
My head is still spinning as we head into fall, and I’m so grateful for the understanding, patience and kindness of my clients…You are so cool!😎❤️
Caught in the act! I was on the Farmington River near the studio hanging out with the three Great Blue Herons that live on the water here. They always come through at this time and I've been photographing two of them for about a decade now.
I recently started re-familiarizing myself with their patterns when someone gifted me this awesome kayak after hearing how mine washed away in the floods a couple years ago.
This trestle bridge is a gem. Part of the Rails to Trails system!
Have you ever been curious about what your personal aura looks like? Or how it can be interpreted?
Join us Le Petit Studio for an electrifying experiment in energy. Capturing ones aura on film became popular in the 1980s, but with the advancement of technology, it rose in popularity and ease of access.
Today aura photography takes just minutes, and can be a unique insight into ones personal energetic state. Each session includes a snapshot of ones energy in the current moment...a recording of the electromagnetic energy that comes off a person's body; transformed into a colorful portrait. The colors, placement and intensity will be interpreted and explained to you, offering a new perspective of our energetic body.
Leave with a more complete picture of the unique energy you send out into the world, and a better understanding of yourself through the reading.
Individual private sessions can be booked Wednesdays from 10am-2pm in either Farmington or Burlington, CT.
Group sessions up to 5 people can be reserved based on availability. Please contact [email protected] for private events of up to five participants.

Walking around the yard today at lunch was an exercise in restraint...I think I took 300 photos in a half hour! What a spring day.
What fun this was! Loved working with American Heart Association -- Connecticut!
Good to read for anyone in the selling online biz…
“Common learning curves for influencers are best crediting practices and navigating image rights. It can feel intuitive that if a photo is of you, that you retain some rights to it. Influencers can accidentally issue rights to use their image freely, when that picture actually belongs to the photographer.”
“— and setting the standard for proper photo practices. For one, always credit the photographer in the post caption.”
Thank you! Please credit your photographer. That is all 🤷♀️🙏🏻🤦♀️
The Growth Of Influencers Has Impacted The Photography Industry In A Major Way In this week's newsletter: The mutual aid between influencers and photographers.

"When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be, I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free." ~Wendell Berry
The first picture taken via cellphone, 1997
Perhaps you haven't given this much thought, but we are presenting you with the first image ever taken through a cellular phone. Mind you, it wasn't even planned! The software entrepreneur behind this historical photo was Philippe Kahn, who had nothing better to do at the Northern California maternity ward.
As the soon-to-be dad waited for the arrival of their daughter, he built a device that could forward the baby picture to his family and friends. Kahn came up with this invention through a a digital camera connected to his flip-top cell phone.

Playing in the leaf-strewn Farmington River to entertain my golf-addicted son!
At least the kid's got personality!!
He flew away as soon as I came out with the camera, but I got a couple shots quick (Not super sharp)...but I'm happy I had those settings ready before I opened the door!
