Event-Bartending

Tomorrow I will be trying French watermelon for a swim party we are hosting for some great friends. Cube a watermelon, add to that half a cup white sugar dissolved in a cup of vodka, 15 mint leaves chopped. Toss all together and chill for 2 hours. Serve with a fork and a smile!! Sorry kids, gotta be 21!!

Absolut has a limited addition vodka called Watkins (vodka infused with coffee, almonds, and chili). 2 parts that with 1 part each of lime juice and Malibu rum is really really good. I had it over ice in a rocks glass but the recipe called for it to be served chilled, up in a martini glass. It was a perfect blend of lime, coconut, coffee, and kick! Thanks Anita for sharing!

Saw Barnaked Ladies tonight at finger lakes. They were good. Funny, the encore was Tyler singing Alcohol. It was a very bizarre version but still good. One of the lyrics is "a Malibu and coke for you".... I've never had that. Perhaps this weekend!

Ok, going to Gettysburg this weekend with Adam for boy scouts. In honor of that trip, here is the drink of the week: The Gettysburg Beaver- put in a pitcher the following: 3 cans light beer, 4 shots gin, 4 shots vodka, 5 shots peach schnapps, and 1 shot grenadine. Stir. Not sure about this but according to the boys at Gettysburg college, the girls love it!

A serious drunk walked into a bar and, after staring for some time at the only woman seated at the bar, walked over to her and kissed her. She jumped up and slapped him silly. He immediately apologized and explained, "I'm sorry. I thought you were my wife. You look exactly like her."

"Why you worthless, insufferable, wretched, no good drunk!" she screamed.

"Funny," he muttered, "you even sound exactly like her."

In honor of all of us wishing for summer, this weeks drink will feature rum and fruit!
Piña Colada
3 oz light rum
3 tbsp coconut cream
3 tbspcrushed pineapples

Put all ingredients into an electric blender with 2 cups of crushed ice. Blend at a high speed for a short length of time. Strain into a collins glass and serve with a straw.

Drink of the week- classic lime margarita. Fill glass with ice add 1 1/2 oz tequila, 1/2 oz each lime juice and triple sec, fill with sour mix and shake!! pour into salt rimmed glass and enjoy! Yumm. That's what I'll be doing in about an hour. Great way to welcome the warmth.
