Dunkin' Donuts Winter Warmers Hot Drinks - Snow Plow Commercial 2001 Dunkin Donuts
For all those in the Snow removal industry. I wrote this one Christmas Eve that I had to be in a machine loading salt all night.
''Twas the night before Christmas and all through the yard not a sander was turning not even a plow,
The salt was all treated with calcium and care with the hope that the weather soon would be here.
The shovelers were nestled all snug in their beds while nightmares of blizzards danced in their heads
And me in my sleeping bag, made on the couch, had just settled down for a few hours slouch.
When out in the yard the plow blades did clatter, and I jumped from the couch to see what was the matter.
Away from the window I tripped on my boots, tore up the blinds and gave it a look.
The line of trucks awaiting the scale, made me rush to get dressed and fire up the loader.
When what to my tired eyes does appear but a truckload of salt and a six pack of beer.
With a tired old driver with his hot cup of coffee I knew in a moment it must be snowing.
More rapid than shoppers his sanders they sang and he whistled and shouted and called them by name:
Now Meyers, Now Western ,Now Snow Ex, And Blizzard; on Snow Dog, on Toro, on Boss and on Fisher
From the top of the Street, all the way to the mall. Now Melt Away, Melt Away, melt away all.
When they meet with a snowbank that gets in the way they drop down the plow blades and plow it away
So up to the houses the plowers they flew,
with a truck load of blowers and shovelers and tools, and helping along, was Nicholas too:
And then in a twinkling, I heard on the roof, the prancing and pawing of snow rakes and boots
As I drew in my head, and was turning around, down the Driveway Nicholas came with a bound:
He was dress'd all in high vis, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnish'd with old pizza and soup.
A bag of salt was flung on his back,
And he look'd like a peddler just smoking some crack!
His eye's, they were bloodshot! His hat head was buried.
His cheeks were like ice cubes, his nose like a dairy.
His dry little mouth was chapped up like some sausage
And by the look on his face he was just plain exhausted.
The stump of a v**e he held tight in his teeth,
And the bubblegum smoke encircled his head like a wreath.
He had on a wool hat, and some gloves that were ratty
And his jacket was worn out all dirty and tatty.
He was chubby and plump, eating McDonalds and Dunkin'
But I know he works hard so to me that is something.
He backed up to the bin to get his truck loaded and when that was done the truck looked like it's bloated.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And he salted the sidewalks and shoveled the stoop
And laying his finger aside of his nose
He blew a big snot rocket that covered his shoes.
He jumped into his sander and to his crew gave a whistle. And away they all drove away like a man on a mission
And I heard him explain as he drove out of sight, Merry Christmas to all and to our sleepless nights!!
