Hi!
I’m Jess the MUA for A Beautiful Darling.
Sarah (hairstylist) and I started this business officially in 2017. The years leading up to that, I did makeup on the side for friends and family. From proms and homecomings to portraits and a few weddings along the way.
I was born and raised in Crewe, VA where I was homeschooled start to finish (bless my mother). I married the love of my life at age 21 and I’m even more in love almost 8 years later. We bought a farm in Blackstone, VA and are saving to build our dream house one day.
Flash forward a little and we have two kids. Ava age 3 and Boone age 2. Motherhood has humbled me, blessed me, exhausted me and most of all grown my relationship with Christ. I’m so blessed to be a stay at home mom and do makeup on the weekends.
I love to garden and I’m also one of those crazy chicken ladies people talk about! One day I will have my farm, but for now two dogs and 13 chickens will do. To have a job I love doing and being able to make women (like you reading this) feel like the beautiful woman you are, I mean what more could i ask for?!
I’m very quiet when I work on my clients. I do my best work tight lipped so please don’t take offense. My favorite thing is seeing my clients face light up when they view themselves in the mirror. I’m forever trying to get better about posting my work and on social media. I want to end this by saying THANK YOU to all who have trusted me and have let me play a part in your big day! Forever grateful for you all. Maybe in another 6 years I’ll do a follow-up introduction because that’s how long it’s taken me to do this one. 💋
