Welcome back Lancers and Tigers! This Friday, August 25th, at 9pm we’re going to turn down the lights and crank up the music at our bar. Must be 21+ to enter. For those of you who want to come out for your normal Friday night dinner, our main building will be open until 11:30.

Thank you all so much! We had a great time at the Independence day event on Monday July 3rd and we hope you all did as well! Excited to do more events like this in the future!

FarmVille, we are ready for you!

On Monday July 3rd, 2023 we will be blocking off our smaller parking lot for our 4th of July celebration! Live music from The Thomas Jessie band starting at 5 pm. Art on display from Pieces of Anna. Corn hole boards will be set up for guests to play on. A mini bar will be set up outdoors. A few tables will be set up although seating is limited so we are encouraging guests to bring a lawn chair. $3 Ice cream cones. Free balloons. Macado's summer T-shirts/glasses available to purchase. Fireworks will start between 9-9:30 pm and you can enjoy the show from our parking lot with a drink in your hand!

Door guards will be at both entrances checking I.D.'s. No glass in the parking lot! Canned beverages and plastic cups only!

If you are here for a normal visit, looking to dine-in you will use the sidewalk entrance and see our host at the host stand. If you are stopping in to enjoy the 4th of July celebration you will use the side entrance.

Duties and Responsibilities
o Prepare food in accordance to the menu instructions.
o Make servers aware of any necessary up-charges for changes made.
o Ensure that there is an adequate amount of food prepped for the estimated sales for each shift.
o Prepare dips and salads, pre-portion entrees, cook up bacon, make croutons, cook chicken breasts in accordance with company guidelines.
o Ensure that food is handled correctly to prevent cross contamination and food born illnesses.
o Know the importance of food allergies and watch tickets for special cooking instructions.
o Make sure all prepped items have a date seal and use items in correct order.
o Help put up and store food deliveries rotating stock to ensure freshness of products.
o Make manager aware of any items that are left off, arrived damaged or were received in error.
o Nobody under 18-yrs of age is permitted to operate a slicer or a deep fryer.
o Be familiar with the proper usage and cleaning of slicers and other kitchen appliances.

Here's a recap of our Giving Tuesday event from last week. We partnered with the YMCA of Virginia's Blue Ridge for the 2nd time this year to provide the staff of Roanoke City Public Schools and hungry neighbors in the community with 3,000 free boxed meals. The first 1,000 cars also received a goody bag filled with items to assist with holiday meal preparation.

We are so thankful for our healthcare workers over at the Salem VA Medical Center. Macado's Grand Pavilion and PFG prepared and donated over 1,000 sandwiches to try to help keep our healthcare professionals healthy and strong.
