The Book Walk at Guthrie Smith Park officially opens next week!
A book walk combines physical activity and reading. Families can enjoy the walking trail at the park and a book at the same time. Along the trail, pages of a book( which will be changed periodically) are displayed so that families can read as they go.
We are so excited to partner with the Fayette County- Alabama Extension and Fayette PARA on this awesome project.
Kids in 3rd-6th grades should bring an appetite for reading and come “taste” different books from a variety of genres at FCML's Starbooks Cafe! Participants will have a chance to explore books in a relaxed cafe atmosphere. Special book-themed snacks will be served.
Registration is required. Please call 205-932-6625 to register.
