What a great night making new friends! I’m amazed and humbled by the experts I got to spend time with. These women are so smart and talented at their craft. There is so much that goes into aesthetic injections— the nuances and details make all the difference in outcomes.

The Merz headquarters was also beautiful and they welcomed us with abundance. The food was fantastic, gifts, even an actual red carpet. People remembered my name and made a point to say hello. It was a wonderful time and fully worth the drive to Raleigh! 🥰💜

I’m so excited! I have an event tonight where I get to tour the Merz Aesthetic Headquarters in Raleigh, take a class, and network with other NC injectors over food and drinks.

Being a solo nurse injector can be lonely. This industry is cut-throat which rubs up against my core values. I’m really hoping to make some friends in my industry.

It’s been hard to meet other injectors in the area. On top of that, I’m not your average injector. I’m like the injector-next-door rather than the typical glamor girl. I love my job because of the science, anatomy, and art of it. I wasn’t drawn to aesthetics for a love of beauty and luxury. For me it was the art and helping people feel good about themselves which can be life changing. For these reasons, I feel like an odd ball.

The difference a year makes! Let’s talk a little bit about this- last year I was pregnant at this time. Since giving birth I’ve lost a lot of weight which has made my face change drastically. Not that I would have- but I’m glad I didn’t undergo any treatments at the time.

I often have clients come in who have experienced a lot of weight loss. I like to tell these clients that their treatments are not one and done, and often require multiple modalities to achieve their goals. Always take into consideration that rapid weight loss can have an aging effect on the face and neck. A lot of times, I like for my client to reach their goal weight before addressing issues. Weight loss doesn’t happen overnight, so the fix does not either.

Lip filler can be emotional journey with a beautiful destination. I always prepare my patients for what to expect over their two weeks of healing time. You may feel ambivalent about your lips at times as things settle, but in the end you’re likely to be very happy. If you’re not, we’ll work together until you are because I care about how you feel. After all, one of my patients did just post that I SLAYED her lips 🥰

The amount of tox you need is determined by your current injector’s professional assessment of your muscle movement (not by your friend, or your sister, or the injector you saw two years ago). Other factors that effect how much tox you require- your sun exposure, skin quality, overall health, amount of exercise, lifestyle, hydration, diet, and others.

Late Cancellation/ Now Show Policy

Please be advised:

We have a STRICT no show/cancellation policy in effort to keep the cost of our services down for all of our clients.

Clients who do not show, or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, will be charged a $50 late cancellation/no show fee without exception.

This policy is outlined and agreed upon in writing at the time of booking.

Tips for avoiding the no late cancellation/ no show fee include:

- Please reschedule your appointment in the days prior to when you are emailed and texted your appointment reminders.
- Please do not schedule appointments during work hours if you are unsure you can leave work.
- If you or your children are feeling unwell, please cancel your appointment as soon as possible the night before or first thing in the morning. Do not wait to cancel until the hours before your appointment time.

What’s it like to come to the med spa for tox and filler?

It’s easier than you think! After booking an appointment with myself or my front desk gal, Darlyn, you’ll come in for a low-key, low-stress consultation.

We spend about 45 minutes together getting to know one another and discussing your goals. I’ll feel you muscle movements, ask you to make lots of faces, and take some confidential photos for baseline reference.

After a thorough assessment, we discuss the treatment plan that I recommend for your goals. Then we proceed with treatment that day if you decide to go forward!

“When is the best time to get my Botox before my big event?”

Ideally, four to six weeks prior to an event or vacation is the best time to get your tox. Why? It takes “tox” (Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau) two weeks to full effect, at which time we can make any adjustments we need to. Tox that has been added for adjustment takes another two weeks to fully set in. Tox is a medication that works on a “bell curve” with peak effect around 6 weeks.
Please keep this in mind when considering weddings, birthdays, big nights out, etc and plan accordingly 🥰

I’m a new mom building a business. This is my son, Cassian. You’re going to see me more on social media but it’s not always going to look perfect. While I absolutely always give my 100% and my perfectionism to my clients in my chair, I can’t always do that for posts and reels.

The truth is, being a nurse injector, business owner, a new mom who’s exclusively breastfeeding, and wife to an injured/ immobile husband are all my priorities. Social media has fallen to the wayside for the first year of my business. I couldn’t devote hours and hours each week to crafting beautiful or trendy posts. I spent that time dedicated to my injection skills and knowledge, quite literally growing Cassian, and reconnecting with my husband after 19 months apart.

The desire to make things look perfect and pretty kept me away from social media. I’m here to admit that that was a mistake. What I ended up doing was keeping myself small out of fear (fear of being judged, not looking “on brand,” or being seen as unprofessional). I was afraid to look real. I ended up not being available to a whole group of people out there looking for a nurse injector just like me- someone who is REAL.

Here’s the secret- that’s my magic as an injector. Clients feel safe with me because I’m imperfect like them. I’ve actually been thanked by one client for not “looking like a 20 year old Kardashian telling her she’s 50 and wrinkled.”

So, let’s start anew Instagram and Facebook (and whatever other social media platform comes out). I’m going to be here despite all of my fonts and colors not always matching. Maybe some weeks they will and other they won’t. I don’t know but we’ll figure this thing out. I don’t ever want someone to miss out in finding the right injector for them because I’m hiding out of fear of not always looking out together.
