We will be open this evening 5:30pm-dark. Hopefully the rain will hold off for the rest of the week and our field will dry.

🌻Life cycle of a Sunflower🌻

1. So we start off planting the seeds on day 1
2. It takes roughly 5-7 days for seeds to germinate (where you can see plant starting to poke through soil)
3. The sunflower will start to grow as long as it gets adequate rain and fertilizer
4. Around day 55 you will start to see flowers blooming and by days 57-60 the field is usually full bloom.
5. Our flowers stay in bloom for roughly 6-7 days before the blooms begin to fail.
6. Day 110 the seeds are ready to harvest.

(Weather can sometimes effect germination and bloom by a few days. Which we found out this year)

We are going to have to postpone our Friday and Saturday opening. We will wait to see about Sunday. Once the sunflowers start to bloom it only takes about 2 days and the whole field has bloomed. We are sorry about the delay but we believe dry/ hot weather has affected our bloom. In the last 3 years our sunflowers are in full bloom in 57 days. Tuesday was day 57. So just when you think you got it figured out something changes. Tha you everyone for being so understanding and keep checking our page for updates.
