This page are all about different kinds of daisies.
Botterblom Marigold Daisy🌻🌻🌻
-The light green branches and leaves of this South African daisy, which grows quickly, give way to a cheery yellow daisy blossom that blooms almost all year long.
Its petals have a purplish-brown underside, and on overcast days or when the sun isn't shining as brilliantly, the flower buds close.
The colors of a Botterblom Marigold Daisy plant, when chosen as a vase flower, can endure for several days. Tiny, brown seeds grow for about a month before they fall to the ground.
Blushing Daisy
-A hybrid of the Gerbera family, this daisy has a stunning mauve purple blossom with a black center.
It has no stem and develops many, throng-like brown roots. In South Africa's grasslands or stony soil, you can find this daisy, which draws honeybees.
Even mountain slopes and moist places are home to the blushing daisy, where it thrives in situations of moderate to heavy rainfall.
Annual Townsend Daisy
-This species of Townsendia is taller than the others in the genus, which are usually smaller and slower-growing. Its growing season runs from April to September, and its narrow leaves can get up to an inch long. These dark green, often small leaves are found predominantly around the stems of the plant.
Coneflower ‘PowWow Wild Berry’ (Echinacea Pursuer ‘Powwow Wild Berry’)
-Speaking of oddly called daisies, the 2010 All-America Selections gold medalist coneflower 'PowWow Wild Berry' has beautiful magenta petals that give it a more regal and opulent appearance than its name would imply.
When compared to other varieties of daisies, this coneflower cultivar's blooms are abundant and begin to appear in late April.
The vibrant colors and proud appearance of the blossoms, which may be up to 4 inches wide (10 cm) in diameter, can provide a touch of sophistication and coziness to your flower beds and borders when planted in clusters.
Blue-Eyed African Daisy
This daisy gets its name from its distinct eye in the center of the flower that is grey to bright blue surrounded by a yellow ring in a white flower.
This color scheme makes it look like the flowers are pairs of blue eyes sticking out of the ground. These flower buds close up during later times of the day or cloudy weather but respond to warmth and light by opening fully.
Rough Daisy
This yet another hardy variant of daisy that originates from the Western and Eastern parts of South Africa. You will primarily find these daisies across woodlands, shrublands, and large stretches of forests.
After maturing, these plants can successfully thrive on less water. They have a habit of spreading and in most cases, the Rough Daisy covers around three to four feet on the ground. It can also grow up to a whopping 8 ft tall. The flowers appear like regular daisies with a yellow part in the middle and purplish outer petals.
English Daisy (Bellis perennis)
The common English daisy, Bellis perennis, has a somewhat deserved reputation for being a w**d; it's even considered invasive in some areas. The species has flowers with white rays and yellow centers, but there are many cultivars with semi-double and button flowers, such as 'Galaxy Red.' These cultivars are both showier and better behaved than the primary species. English daisies are hardy in growing zones 4 to 8 but are often grown as biennials in warmer zones and as annuals in cooler zones. These low-growing daisies, especially the showier cultivars, can make excellent ground cover plants.
Gerbera Daisy
With more than 40 varieties of gerbera daisies, this perennial plant comes in a rainbow of colors like red, orange, pink, and yellow and can easily be grown from seeds.
Cape Daisy
Rich in pollen and known to attract bees, the cape daisy comes in colors like purple, yellow, and white and sprouts in bushes that can grow up to 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide.
