RADAR UPDATE: In case you were wondering where the rain is? It has moved in but so far, the drier air at the surface has kept the rain from reaching us. The moisture will most likely overcome the dry air later this afternoon and evening. Plan accordingly! πŸŒ§β˜‚ #tnwx #vawx

MY SATURDAY MOMENT OF ZEN: We all need a little laughter in our lives so I am sharing a blooper moment from this past weekend for you to enjoy and LAUGH at. BACKSTORY: Right before my weather open ran this past Saturday, I saw my graphics flash before my eyes (LOL) and heard my producer gasp (that's never a good thing in news). I noticed immediately that all I could see was the microwave camera from Bays Mountain. I figured that all of our viewers at home were seeing the same thing...but they WERE NOT, they were seeing the regular graphics and myself in front of them. Essentially I was on camera and had no idea, so enjoy the moment as I realize that the WHOLE time that viewers could see me. Turns out I was the one who was blind. GREENSCREEN MAGIC: The secret to the chromakey is the side monitors that we use to see what we are pointing at. All of my monitors were changed to the Bays Mountain camera and my weather graphics were gone. I was flying BLIND. S.O. to my amazing producer Emily and my incredible production staff for immediately coming to my aid to fix the issue after the fact. With that being said I present, "Alex's Moment of Zen" P.S. Apparently due to my nerves from flying blind I said "Scattered Showers" 14 times during my weather hit. LOL
