Tactical Urbanism Installation at MLK & Wood Avenue: This project defines what we love about our community. From the project's original design, to an 8-hour paint day, we built and strengthened friendships, while creating this vibrant addition to our SoFay neighborhood. This temporary installation will test how the crosswalk, painted bumpout, bike rack, and on-street parking affect the vibe, safety, and functionality of the MLK/Wood intersection and the Goat Pen food truck. As Z and I say, yesterday was a "zone day," with everyone working together and having fun. Many thanks to Erin Walsh, who put up with us blocking the street and served us delicious stew and biscuits. And many thanks to the City for your tactical urbanism education and inspiration.
