🌟 UPDATE! What we initially thought would be tens of thousands of dollars in repairs from the main waterline break has turned into a job of just a few thousand, and we are so, so GRATEFUL (never thought I'd be so excited about paying a bill of a few thousand dollars)! This leak could have been anywhere in the building, and we were seriously worried about losing multiple kennels due to water seeping through them. That would have meant fewer adoptions while waiting for new ones to be built. We are breathing a HUGE sigh of relief that the leak was located quickly and was on the side and not in the kennels.

To everyone who reached out about fostering, YOU'RE AWESOME and we’d love to explore foster-to-adopt with you! It’s a great way to "try out" one of our pups or kitties to see if they’re a good fit for your home. If you're interested, just reach out to Chelsey at [email protected].

🚨 URGENT! EMERGENCY ADOPTERS NEEDED! DONATIONS NEEDED! ALL ANIMALS POSTED NEED HOMES ASAP! Yesterday, our shelter experienced a major waterline break, causing a constant leak into our small dog kennel and outdoor areas. Water is seeping up through the concrete, and we are facing extensive repairs, including tearing out concrete floors and kennel walls to find and repair the leak, repouring concrete, re-epoxying floors, and repainting kennels. While we work on repairs, the noise and vibrations will make the environment stressful for our animals, especially our cats, who are highly sensitive to stress. Simply put, cats get sick when stressed.

We urgently need adopters to step up and give our dogs and cats a safe, loving place to go. Right now, we're offering 2 cats for 1 adoption fee! All of our cats currently live in community with other cats and would thrive in homes with other kitties. Our cat adoption fee is $100 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, and more. The dog adoption fee is $200, which includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, and heartworm testing/treatment. Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of 9/11 and honor all the brave souls who were lost. We hold in our hearts the memory of the first responders, civilians, and the heroic canines who played a crucial role in rescue and recovery efforts. From search and rescue dogs who tirelessly combed through debris to therapy dogs who provided comfort during those darkest days, the impact of these incredible animals cannot be overstated. 🇺🇸🐾
