On November 13, clocks were turned back an hour, possibly for the last time. Earlier in March of this year, Reuters reported that the U.S. Senate unanimously passed the Sunshine Protection Act of 2021to make daylight savings time permanent, effective November 5, 2023. However, the bill has stalled in the House as Congress has yet to come to a consensus on the issue.

Why do we even change our clocks twice a year? What’s the point?

The first Fayetteville State University home basketball game had a promising start after leading in the first half 30-29. Unfortunately, the second half became a dismal performance in front of the home crowd, as the Broncos began trailing University of North Carolina, Pembroke by double digits. The Broncos ended up losing the game, 68-58.

From the initial jump, the game went back and forth between the teams. It also looked as if both teams were evenly matched in the guard, forward and center positions. However, in the second half Pembroke’s guard, Jajuan Carr, became a problem for the Bronco’s defensive scheme.

My mom and I went to the Fort Fisher Aquarium last weekend to see their new otter exhibit and for the first time, I couldn’t help feeling out of place.
