We recently were made aware that a few of daycare dogs who visited with us in the last 2 weeks have developed a cough.
We ask that if you hear your dog cough (sounds like there is something stuck in their throat), please do NOT bring your dog to Blessed Oasis Pet Resort - notify us immediately.

We ask that even as a precaution, if your fur baby is put on any meds to help prevent anything, we ask that you do not bring your pet in to Blessed Oasis Pet Resort as we want to minimize the spread to pets already in the facility. We do understand this is an inconvenience, however we want to give the same courtesy as if it was our fur baby and we wouldn’t want them to get sick.

Dogs can catch kennel cough or an upper respiratory infection in several ways. It can spread through the air, directly from dog to dog, or through germs on contaminated objects. This means they can catch it while outside (on a walk, at a dog park, or at a daycare/boarding facility) or any time they come in contact with an object or dog that has been exposed. Some dogs are more susceptible to catching this cold than others.

Although your dog may be vaccinated, they may still contract kennel cough. We have precautions in our facility that help to prevent the spread of this illness such as a central air purification system. We also sanitize the daycare areas on a daily basis, and all boarding suites are fully sanitized in between stays. Furthermore, we use stainless steel water buckets and bowls which are sanitized daily as well.
