“Give it away, two for one, or let’s make a deal.” Remember the old adage that people don’t give away drugs? Well, that’s no longer true. Today, smoke shops, mall kiosks, and even liquor stores are offering samples, giveaways, two-for-one deals, reduced pricing, or simply meeting any price you ask. But why are they doing this? Is it due to inflation or a desire to be good neighbors? The opposite is true—they have too much product. And by “product,” I don’t just mean vapes. I’m talking about everything from Kratom (which can be abused similarly to he**in) to various types of vapes and even “legal” over-the-counter drugs that mimic the effects of controlled substances or hallucinogens.
I’ve attached a few photos I’ve taken in various states over the last few months, including one from this week, to illustrate the point. (I was offered Delta 8 “grab” bags.)
So, why does this matter?
The increasing availability of cheap drugs pushes more people, including youth, into the drug market. In short, more drugs on the shelves mean more addiction and a greater negative impact on mental health. A common example I share is this...if more donut shops open in your city, more people will eat donuts, and none of the shops can raise their prices as they compete against each other—leading to lower prices overall.
This trend is alarming for public health, addiction rates, and the impact of drugs on our highways and schools.

BMX STEM PROJECT SUCCESS!! We are so glad to be able to introduce these students (and those not pictured) to something as simple as “tools”. Going over how to brake, adjust the bike based off your individual height, and how to measure tires vs. rims, learning the name of the bike parts, and replacing parts. The joy on their faces teaching terminology! We want to thank and our facilitators to include our Fayetteville State University intern for their support! We’ll share more pics and videos from our community bike ride soon!
SUPPORTING THE ORGANIZATION IS ASSISTING THE YOUTH!
So proud of these youth. I’m sure they’ve gotten some things that will be personally beneficial to them. Thanks and parents and supporters https://www.facebook.com/share/p/cMSRtJ4tFfMBWG99/?mibextid=WC7FNe

We have gotten 2 calls over the last week from a parent and a community partner that is no longer located in Cumberland County. Those calls are why we do the work and why when things are brightest is when we want to work smarter.
Quite often, “Under the Influence” is overlooked, but a true definition of FACTORS THAT CONTRIBUTE are alcohol and other illicit drugs that have become routine with daily use among youth. We spend hours speaking to the youth and the evidence of drug use as early as 11/12 is normal behavior along with attitude and the lack of positive motivation. Adults are diagnosed, whereas youth become irritable, anxious and unattached to the reality of the consequences of violence; oftentimes under the influence. Look at the only places they can frequent within 100 yards of their school. Email for the link and join the conversation

How we’re stepping into the summer after this last phone call! Everything we do is solution-based. In 2024 we’ve gotten better with tracking data, policy, procedure, and we’re working on presentation. Service has its rewards, but it’s not always going to show in pictures. When we offer to partner, you’ll get a clearer picture.
Shout out to for having us be a part of your annual Black Family Day Gala. Awesome youth doing amazing work in school and community. Thank you to the dedicated ladies who work to keep them supported.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month! We want to thank our Board Chair for sharing this vital piece of knowledge. Thank you!
THIS!! A couple of weeks ago we put on our version of a very popular game show to highlight the importance of Community Health. We spoke on quality of healthcare, access to healthcare, substance abuse care, and behavioral health. We were glad to partner with the Nonprofit Networking Coalition to help others learn about all the things happening at -wade healthcare across their 5 locations! Thank you to and for helping with hosting on the campus of Fayetteville State University! We’ve contacted already to do this on a larger platform in the next few months because it was seen by a follower in the Washington D,C./Maryland area. LET’s grow! ,
It’s our pleasure and purpose to partner with community leaders. Witnessing victims of gun violence share their very personal accounts with a room full of youth to give them a glimpse into their struggles and dedication was moving. Thank you to and outreach engagement for partnering with As we continue to build our efforts around community violence intervention, we will continue to support the youth and assist their understanding of how violence stunts their growth in various ways. Thanks to you especially go s out to Corey. This was his first time speaking about being shot almost a year ago.
It was such a great day! Participating in the Youth Summit hosted by at Methodist University was so inspiring! Having the inaugural members of our juniorBoard members and one of our Senior Board members there to witness our presentation felt great! Soooo looking forward to what’s in store over the next few years! Having the input of our youngest members while we serve this and communities across state is exciting.
Just thinking of our how we’re not inventing new wheels… just making sure ours don’t stop. If it can be done, it shall be done. For example… https://www.nbcmiami.com/on-air/as-seen-on/you-get-another-shot-group-of-miami-dade-inmates-work-toward-barbers-license/3272148/
