Our dancers are busy refining their roles , costumes are being fitted and sponsorship monies are coming in! Charlotte Blume's legacy continues to shine brightly as we are excited for this spectacular group pf dancers to present the 55th season of The Nutcracker! Interested in joining our legendary studio? Charlotte Blume School Of Dance is so much more than a ballet school. We truly are a different type of facility, we have a wonderful support team that’s made up of parents, dancers and friends; all of who we consider family. And when a family member needs help or is sick we all come together to help. I have had many of you ask me how Mrs Mitchell has been since you have not seen her at the studio lately. To be quite honest she has had better days, and has been in and out of the hospital the last two weeks. We have discovered she has had several strokes and we are hoping she has a remarkable recovery as only we know she can! I think it would make her smile and brighten her day if any of you would like to bring a card in for her that I will be more than happy to take to her! Please continue to have her in your thoughts… and thank you as always for allowing us to be in your dancers day to day lives ❤️

We are SO excited to perform again with Moscow Ballet! Ages 6-17 are welcome to audition!!! Audtion date is September 9th at 4:30 at Charlotte Blume Studio! See you there!

We have exciting news! We are the host studio for this wonderful production and another wonderful opportunity for your dancers to be able to perform on stage with Moscow Ballet.

Audition fee will be $50 with an additional rehearsal fee!

Good morning Dance Family!
What a wonderful 66th Recital we were all able to enjoy this past Sunday! Sleeping Beauty had not been put on stage since 1995…and to say it was our honor is an understatement. Thank you to all the dancers and supportive parents, and of course our great staff! It could not have happened without you! The first Nutcracker Camp begins Monday the 17th- 20th. Younger cast is from 12-3; older cast is from 4-8. There will also be group texts sent out to clarify which camp your dancer is needed at! We are so excited to begin working on our 55th production of this holiday tradition!

⭐️Today is the day! ⭐️ We hope you will join us for our recital, including two ballets: Sleeping Beauty and Four Seasons! There are several other dances you won’t want to miss, showcasing the talents of our lovely dancers! The recital is open to the public and we’d love to have you! 👗💃🏻🩰💕

🎟️ Tickets are available at the door: $20 for adults, $12 for kids. Ages 4 & under are free.

Parents...as a reminder:
Tomorrow June 3rd is picture day at the studio! Your dancer should have brought home a paper with your picture times on it...please come dressed and ready to smile!
On Wednesday and Thursday of this week we will be having full dress rehearsals at the Crown Theater! Please arrive promptly at 2:30 with light makeup and your dancers hair in a sleek bun parted down the middle with no fly aways! Also, all Nutcracker camp and choreography fees are due June 3rd and any unpaid tuition payments must be paid in full by the 5th!

Our Second Senior Spotlight:
💗Miss Haebin Drewery
Haebin began dancing at Charlotte Blume in the fall of 2016. Haebin has danced several genres of dance to include: Jazz, Contemporary, Pointe, and Tap. She has had the honor to also have been trained by several professionals that have given her the grace and beauty she shows on the stage. She has been a wonderful helper for years with our younger dancers...she assisted at dance camps and Nutcracker camps, always with a beautiful smile! She and I have had a very sweet relationship... motherly, yet playful; as I have given her a nickname of Number 5! It was always fun to see her in class- her endless expressions on her face were priceless! Our after dance talks were especially sweet; she has overcome many obstacles that have shaped her into a strong, determined and savvy young gal. Watching her journey not only here at the studio, but her journey as she has become a beautiful young lady has been my honor to see first hand. Haebin has a huge heart, and a quiet soul... she would do anything for anyone!
Haebin attended Terry Sanford High School and was an active member of JROTC as a cadet and Junior Staff. She plans on attending Fayetteville Technical Community College to become a Dental Hygienist. I am so so proud of all of your accomplishments thus far... I cannot wait to see this next chapter unfold for you! 💗LOVE YOU sweet girl!💗

Happy Sunday to all our Dance families! Today is the day that I will begin to recognize our two seniors that will soon be leaving us!
Our first Senior Highlight:
💗Miss Sophia Lewis
Sophia...known to most as Fifi began dancing at 2.5 years old and had the honor to have been trained by several talented professionals. She has always been in all genres of dance and has dappled in quite a few to include: jazz, contemporary, tap, lyrical, pointe, ballroom and of course Greek dance! Sophia has a way of keeping an audience captive with her gracious presence and engaging them with her sweet smile. She is a very kind and giving person...as is evident in her countless volunteer hours helping teach Nutcracker choreography to younger students, privately training dancers, teaching classes at the studio, and being a National Junior Cotillion Assistant for 6 years. She also enjoys baby and dog sitting and enjoys the many adventures they include! She attended Terry Sanford High School where she achieved many honors and was in several clubs to include: JV Cheer 2 years ( 1 year captain), Varsity Cheer 2 years ( 1 year captain), National Honor Society, Global Studies Program, Junior Marshall for the Graduating Class of 2023, and SGA 3 years ( Representative Sophomore Year, Junior Class Vice President, Student Body Vice President Senior Year), 2nd runner up Miss FTS 2022, Miss Junior FTS 2023, and finally Miss FTS 2024!!! Sophia also was awarded several Scholarships as well! She also attends church and has danced at several Greek festivals in town.
Now this particular senior stole my heart many, many years ago. I have watched her go from diapers, to walking, to running at full speed....and I don't think she has stopped running yet! She is the youngest and definitely the loudest out of her siblings... has a competitive streak in her with her brother at playing golf, and trailing her sisters footsteps every step of the way! She has performed several roles in The Nutcracker, achieved an international ballet contract with The Grand Kyiv Ballet, and has graced the stage beautifully every time with the poise that would have even made Charlotte Blume proud. Your final performance on stage in Sleeping Beauty will be one to remember and just as magical as your first recital! Your tireless work ethic will take you far!! I am so proud of who You are, what You stand for, and how You carry yourself!!
Sophia will be attending NC State University majoring in Animal Science with the hopes of becoming a Veterinarian! Letting go is never easy...but I will always be here to cushion your fall and help you right back up again! You are a Superstar...can't wait to see what comes next! 💗LOVE YOU always💗

We have a special “double feature” this year at our Spring Recital!! In addition to our recital pieces showcasing the talents of our dedicated dancers, the show will feature *two* beloved ballets: Sleeping Beauty and Verdi’s Seasons! Please make plans to come and see what our wonderful dancers have been working on this year!

Happy Mother’s Day to all our moms, grandmothers, and mother figures to our dancers! Our dancers are full of grace and tenacity, compassion, kindness and humility- all because of all of YOU! Thank you for all that you do in your day to day and for being our Dance Moms! I know I say all the time how blessed we are to have the best dancers, but to be honest… that wouldn’t be possible without all of you!! Happy Mothers Day to you all!
