What a wonderful suprise from my Detroit family! Terry, Shea and the newest member of the "Whitfield clan"! Feeling extremely BLESSED

Created a journal with ONLY materials and scraps on my work table. Turned out to be lots of fun!

Several weeks ago I got the groups help drying some of my hydrangea petals. I placed them in a bookand planed to check on them in 10 days. However, life got in the way and almost 30 days ago I had surgery. Today I decided to upen up the book and here's what I saw....the color is AMAZING and they are light as a feather! I did purchased a container to store them in but do I wrap them in more paper inside the container
until I decide on a project to use them in? Thx much for your great suggestions. All are welcome👍🏽

The blooms are soooo gorgeous I decided to try drying a few....I'm new at this and impatient. (My flower press is full of last years plants) so I got a heavy book, and other heavy items to put on top....I'm not sure how long drying time is but I'll keep you posted

Another Accordion Book. (My favorite way to bind a book.) Botanical/Nature has become my primary focus. Some of my pressed flowers/leaves are included in this project.

SOMETHING GOOD TO KNOW!

Air dry clay creating unwanted cracking once it is fully dry?

You created the perfectly cast mould, but UGH it cracked right where you didn't want it to. Cracks are a common occurance because as the clay dries, it is actually shrinking, causing the cracks. If that's not the look you're going for, here are some tips to help!

Paint the clay before it's dry with a feathery brush, this can help slow the dry time and minimize cracking
After the clay is dry, add clay back into the cracked areas and mould with a silicone tipped tool to fill the gaps
