NW Faithfully Speaking Toastmasters

Please join us for the final meeting of our club! After 15 years together, it’s time to move on as our members have become so busy….much of that due to skills gained in practicing leadership and communication! We’ll be celebrating with a potluck, speeches, Table Tooics, and much love.

So this happened—a tie in Table Topics—Congratulations Daniel and Jake! Will you be the winner this week? Come on out and join us—6pm meet & greet, with the meeting starting at 6:15. See you there!

Meet a NEW winner of Table Topics - Jake! He comes to us from the Air Force and is testing the waters of our club as a guest ... and he rocked his first time impromptu speaking!

If you'd like to see what Toastmasters is all about, pop over to Brooklake Church (629 S 356th St, Federal Way, WA 98003) Tuesday evenings. We gather at 6 for meet and greet, and our meetings are promptly from 6:15-7:15. And did we mention snacks?

Last week we had a great meeting - complete with snacks and decorations for the season! And on Sunday you might have seen us at Trunk or Treat - the spinny wheel was a hit with the kiddos!

We have such fun at our weekly meetings! For table topics this evening, we followed our Toastmaster’s chosen theme of “hobbies” by answering questions about some of the oddest hobbies out there. One of which was Extreme Ironing!  here’s a photo to prove that people really do that… Ironing on sides of cliffs or while skydiving!

Google “strange hobbies” and see what you find out there… Add some in the comments so we can all have a chuckle!

NOTE: We will NOT have a meeting next week 10/11 due to scheduling conflicts but we’ll be back on the 18th. Mark your calendar and join us!
