Grief Groups can be the healing community you need.

Let’s be very honest, it’s hard to get the support we REALLY would like from family, friends, coworkers…

And there is NOTHING wrong with that. We are meant to have a variety of communities to support us throughout life.

Grief communities are a resource for you, for your grief. We come together for collective healing. We come together for each other.

If your grief isn’t getting the feeling of belonging, validation and support from your current community, we got you!

Come talk about death with me

What is your relationship with death? Do you have one?

Has death changed your life? From someone’s death? The greater awareness of your own death? Have you come close to death?

Do you fear death? Do you fear your own death? The death of others?

Do you need to practice talking about death with participants before talking about death with people in your life?

What ever the reason, what ever is on your mind, your welcome to the Death Talk

🖤Yesterday was my dad’s birthday, our first birthday without him

1. On his birthday I received a present from him, a gold necklace once belonging to him

2. I took a birthday selfie with him, of course

3. Remembering his last earthly birthday 🥳

4. Crain’s wandering his yard, relaying messages I can’t hear, being at his home when he’s not there , remembering when the days seemed excruciatingly long, the land of wondering with the Crain’s 🪶

Death Meditations have been a soothing force in the ever evolving experience of life. It is a grounding pull into the end, embracing that there is an ending to all moments.

In this death meditation you will explore the energetic release of spirit, source, self. You will detach from your body, becoming the spectator of your diminishing existence back into elements, where in your separation you become all, everything, everywhere.

Death Contemplations have been in practice for years only lost to us as we moved closer into a society filled with death anxiety, instead of honoring death therefore honoring our life.

You will find this guided meditation into death to be surprisingly effective in uncovering your souls desires, you may have a better understanding of what is important to you and your priorities may shift, aligning with more purpose or meaning.

Honoring the cycle of seasons

Not turning anyone away for financial reasons let me know if cost is an issue.

What has been your experience with contemplating death?

Photos from Death Priestess's post 09/07/2024

While summer has been honoring the blooming, the growth, the vibrant evolution of being, we grow closer to the change of seasons. We feel ourselves naturally move differently, new rhythms awaken, new cravings, new ideas emerge all while the revitalizing warmth of summer dies away into the longer nights.

This, this dying away to create new is our natural state, that is the environment we live in reflecting back to us our own natural cycles of life, death, grief.

The Fall Equinox on September 22 is when there is equally parts day and night, light and dark. A day representing balance and harmony reminding us to find that within our own lives, exploring and nurturing our inner and outer worlds. By doing so we must honor both the light and the dark within ourselves.

Death Meditations are guided visual practices that invite you to contemplate your mortality and the little deaths of life. By embracing the temporary nature of life, you can foster a deeper appreciation for the present moment, guiding us to live more intentionally. This practice isn’t about reducing fear, but about cultivating an understanding that everything is fleeting, inspiring a more authentic, compassionate, and connected way of living.

The following week, September 29, to continue the practice, to continue to honor the natural cycle of our journey, to bring harmony into our inner and outer worlds we must explore and nurture our grief as deeply as we do our times of delight.

Grief Restoration is an intimate space designed to expand your capacity to hold the duality of life while navigating the depths of grief. We pause, grow in our stillness as does our surroundings, we loosen the ego’s grasp on control and meaning, allowing a deeper layer of connection to our inner self. Through soft somatic moments, guided meditation, clearing of dead weight and brief sharing, this experience invites curiosity to widen your grief practice.

Both events are being held in person at in Southfield.

Photos from Death Priestess's post 07/03/2024

As I move along through this life, I find the truest battles in my head, yesterday’s narratives debating with a future version of myself and present me just holding space for the dispute

That’s the gist of my thoughts on thoughts

Does this ring true for you or is it only my own melodrama?

Summer Solstice is a time for reflection and renewal. There is a blooming, an opening, showing ourselves and others everything we are in a new light.

There is always a darkness, a shadow or void that brings us to a new light. Reflection on our moments in the dark provides more information, understanding, clarity for our new beginnings.

Being in ritual during summer solstice honoring both the darkness, the grief, the sorrowful shadow and the vibrancy that has awoken nourished and fed through our trials can conjure a powerful harmonious feeling of wholeness.

Giving you the strength to focus on the light to lean into the warmth of the sun, the energy of aliveness filling you, allowing community to lift us and be a source of inspiration.

Ritual at Your Fingertips is a resource for you, use it to reconnect to and ground into what is true for you at this moment. It is an invitation, a guide, a no nonsense step by step instruction for your very own private practice.

It gives you the bones, of a ritual with prompts leading you through a process of reflection. It’s up to you to add more, to rearrange or discard what doesn’t fit for you.

This is meant for everyone, it’s accessible to all grief, from little deaths to the larger last breath death. It’s meant to be a component of your grief journey a practice to intertwine and interact with all of your ways to full expression.

This is a quick downloadable guide, you receive instantly with payment. The link in bio takes you directly to it!

This is also a great gift for anyone you know experiencing grief on any level

In the beginning of 2024 I was featured in Metro Times in an article exploring what is a Death Doulas written by

It really is an honor to give my perspective of what a Death Doula is because I believe there are so many Doulas out there doing important work under the umbrella of Death but not necessarily the work of sitting vigil or accompanying the dying

All Death Doulas have their own specialty, their own personal views and experiences that form their work. The array of Death Doulas and the work they do is astounding.

My work has always been wrapped in the grief, the shadow, the rebirth, the transition that happens after a profound loss and rebuilding relationships with ourselves essentially. That was my experience in 2018 when my ex husband died I became a widowed parent really lost in life, questioning everything. My one thought was no one told me it was going to be like this, what do I do now? So here I am… 100% that bitch, here for you

When I picked up the magazine I was shocked to see myself on the cover, I said “she did it” several times to myself as if it wasn’t me but Death Priestess herself.

I’m very proud of myself for showing up, not giving up and for continuing my journey with Death, Grief & the Rebirth. This is my art, this is my poetry, this is my craft it is my magic, it’s the purpose I never knew and still learning to truly give into

I never properly shared this accomplishment with you all unless you saw it scattered in my stories back in January.

Any way… I hope you read it for 2 reasons
1. Exploring what is a Death Doula?
2. Explore more of my personal story

If you have any questions, ask away…

PS: These amazing photos were taken by and you can visit for the article that will also be linked in my stories/highlights

My full moon affairs were plentiful of la petite morts, moments of tiny deaths, unnoticed by the naked eye but felt intensely throughout the body, penetrating the darkness of the aching soul

Creating expansive spaces for the cycle of death grief and rebirth while bringing movement into profound appreciation and honoring the clarity presented by the Scorpio full moon

May the full moon bless you with tiny moments of forgotten consciousness brimming with the most euphoric sensations my grieving s***s 💋☠️💦

How was the full moon to you? 🌙

Sitting in the uncomfortable of endings isn’t something we give priority, as a matter of fact we tend avoid, bypass or ignore our feelings surrounding endings.

Meditating on the presence of death is how we learn to honor all the endings life has to offer, whether it be last breath death, major life losses, or the little deaths that we confront daily in our selves.

Honoring endings gives us space to open up to the inspiration of inviting growth, transformation or ease into the human experience. Honoring our natural cycles of life death grief & rebirth brings us in closer relationship with our internal, which will reflect out into our relationships with our external.

In death we invite devotion, compassion and acceptance

Join us this Friday, March 29 at 8:30pm for a Death Meditation in celebration of recovery held at Passenger Recovery in Hamtramck. This event is open to the public I just ask that you are sober day of the event. There is a sliding donation request of $10-$35, cash or Venmo.

Bring blanket or mat/ notebook & pen 💋

After a major life transition we come closer to the presence of death, as we find bits of ourselves dying away. We experience the grief for the person we once were and the unknown of who we will become. Sitting within these version of ourselves, who quite possibly have new views of themselves, pondering the mysteries of what is life and death…

A Death Meditation is just one way to be still in the quiet contemplation of our death, or what will carry us into life. You may find clarity or the acceptance of the unknown, and not knowing in itself is wisdom.

Contemplating the natural cycles of endings in the energy of life and death, can ultimately prepare you for the continuing experience of little deaths, sitting in the grief and nurturing the rebirth.

So we come together to feed the aching soul the humanness of life. We celebrate what had to end, what died away to create space for life. We celebrate the courage to sit in the death of one’s self for the life of new, the rebirth. We celebrate the reminder of surrendering to life, the little deaths that make living well, dying well.
