I think just about all of us have fallen victim to St Ives Apricot Scrub, Biorè pore strips, make up wipes, charcoal peel off masks, and the list goes on and on (unfortunately🤮).

— Why you SHOULD NOT be using this product: St Ives Apricot Scrub is made out of granules of walnut shell powder which is EXTREMELY rough on the skin.
The action of scrubbing with this product can cause inflammation. When pores are inflamed, they swell which then traps the bacteria in the pores and results to more breakouts.
Over time with consistent use of a harsh scrub, you can develop an impaired skin barrier which can take months to repair and rebuild… not to mention the damage and hyperpigmentation that comes from over manually exfoliating the skin!

Overall, this product will lead to long term skin damage. Next time you see me, ask for an exfoliant recommendation for your skin. 🫶🏻✨
