This right here! Three months progress! 🙌🏼 She is absolutely thrilled and her skin continues to improve.

What did we do to get here?

First, we went through all her skin care, spf, hair care, body care and make up and identified any pore cloggers.

We discussed diet and stress and her possible acne triggers.

We overhauled what she was using at home. Her skin was so inflamed, we did a calming and hydrating treatment and I sent her home with calming and hydrating products.

Then we got to work with deep pore cleansing facials and a peel mixed in there.

As you can see it hasn’t been a straight path. She did break out significantly, but I could see the inflammation subsiding even then.

She’s so relieved to have answers she’s been searching for for quite a while.

How long does it take to results from your skincare? New skin care regimens take time and you really do need to be patient to get to the results. Here are 4 common ingredients that I use in my arsenal of skin care.

Vitamin C: An anti inflammatory that helps with brightening and pigmentation. It’s a proven and popular ingredient that has a low instance of irritaion. It takes about 3 weeks to begin to see the results of using vitamin c.

Retinoids: Extremely popular for it’s posative effects on aging skin and helping to clear and manage acne. It has long term skin benefits. The downside is that it can be drying and sometimes irritating to easily sensatized skin. Best to ease into this one a few times a week and build up from there. It can take 3-6 months to see results.

Mandelic Acid: a gentle AHA derived from bitter almonds. It’s a keratolytic that helps gently exfoliate the skin by detaching and dissolving dead skin cells without mechanical scrubbing. Often used to help gently clear and manage acne. It works quickly and you can see results in as little as 1-2 weeks

Benzoyl Peroxide: This acne med is highly effective in oxygenating and helping to unclog pores in acne prone skin. It can be drying in that case, can be taken down from daily to 3-5 times a week. It doesn’t take long to see results from this ingredient, just 1-2 weeks.

Successfully managing your acne takes a whole body approach!

Knowing what food triggers breakouts and committing to avoid them is key. Figuring out your food triggers is a process of elimination. I suggest a food log. Eliminate the most common triggers and slowly add them back in. Monitor skin changes. It is a process, but a worthwhile one!

The right skin care products and eliminating all pore clogging ingredients is also part of your success strategy.

Today was such a beautiful day for a wedding and bridal make up!

I'm so incredibly excited to announce that I've launched my own skin care brand! If you didn't know, I started out in the salon industry as a manicurist when I was 21 years old. I returned to school and in 2005, I graduated from St. Louis Institute of Esthetics. Way back then, I wanted to have my own line, my own brand. But life happens, and I took a hiatus from salon life for about 10 years to be with my little boy and pursue other adventures. Three years ago, I made the return and I could not love it more. When I returned, one goal was to add my own branded line eventually. In January, it was time. I spent the last five months testing and carefully choosing each product in my product line. It needed to be clinical, be acne clearing AND fight aging effectively. This line works beautifully for both and I can't wait to add more amazing effective products as I grow it.
