I'd like to apologize that all my posted CJs are so expensive. They are in fact that nice and for the hours I spent on them, I am selling my time too cheap. My local dealers are charging $200 an hour for service. I'd say my time here is closer to $20 an hour but I didn't answer to anyone so I feel that's priceless.

Either way, I hope to have some lesser expensive CJs available in the coming months. Please just don't expect this quality for half the money. I cannot deliver that.

I did recently sell this rot free 1986 CJ7 Auto w a Dana 44 and efi to a local veteran who called me on Friday 4/5/2024. It was an as-is desert special for he and his son to start from. Copper CJ7 84 Laredo sold (twice)....only took the money once. One poor fellow terled it up for weeks w a cashiers check lost in the mail. I had to move on.

Far better and more reliable than when new. Rebuilt 4.2 engine w a 4.0 head swap less than 20k miles ago.
Mopar port fuel injection makes this as reliable as a 2006.

Upgraded rebuilt 1986 Jeep CJ7 Dana 44 rear w upgraded gears to 4.10. Front Dana 30 rebuilt w 4.10 gears.

T5 rebuilt w upgraded hydraulic clutch. Dana 300 resealed. Centerforce clutch.

Hydroboost brakes. Stops like air brakes. Oversize HD fuel tank built by my friends at Trailquest 25 years ago at a cost then of $400.

Upgraded better than original gauges. More accurate and easier to see.

Pro bolt in full Rock hard cage....just in case. This is far safer than oem.

Good 33 BFG tires on v nice wheels. Upgraded swing away rack and tire carrier.

V nice original interior w upgraded USA made Tuffy center console. Uncracked dash pad.

Custom springs w EMU shocks, greasable shackles and rock sliders.

Very straight body in original shiny sides and faded horizontal paint surfaces. Set up for towing. Built for the rocky mountains and ready for whatever you want to do w it.

This is a great Jeep for someone who wants to use a Jeep on and offroad and doesn't want a rust bucket. The diamond tread on the corners was put there for protection 20 years ago before people used it to hide rot. The rot areas of the Jeep are shown and in original paint and rot free. Inside floors are protected w pro installed liner to suffocate the metal from corrosion. Carpet deadens the sound.

All the parts sales slow me down as this took me about 8 weeks to complete this from chassis to finished.

The numbers matching fascists want people to feel bad if your Jeep is personalized the way YOU like it even if it was improved over the impeccable quality of the AMC brand that went out of business in 1986.

I see trends in this market I hate. I had a very nice Mopar I built a couple years ago and joined a forum for the model. What a boring group of people posting front end Fridays as their pristine pieces of art were too delicate to leave the nest. Yuck.

Rise up against the tyranny of miserable marble sorters on thier couches shaming the non conformists!

Make your Jeep yours and use it. Lift it, slam it, swap that awful AMC V8 (or keep it if its working as they do look and sound good), modify it, crawl it, show it. Do you. That's what Jeeps always were and should be.

I've stayed in business all this time having good sheet metal and talking to people (not emailing, chatting or texting) so we can understand each others needs, wants and expectations so we can match that to the deliverables. It's necesarry w used parts and vehicles. Used things aren't all the same and therefore price and quality varies.

76-86 AMC Jeep CJ Frame cover USA made reproduction

USA Made 1976-86 AMC Jeep CJ reproduction frame cover. This finishing detail fills the gap on the top of the frame and goes between the grill and the bumper on your 76-86 Jeep Cj5 CJ7 or Scrambler. This is a Rudy's exclusive! I invested $10,000 in a USA made custom mold to have this manufactured in the USA with USA materials utilizing modern injection molding. The Original AMC units were rubber and faded and disintegrated. When Mopar bought AMC they reproduced an item that was too thinand required formed pucks underneath to hold it up which were visible from above thru the part. I believe the Mopar part also shrunk after forming as they had to be stretched into place. My part is formed, cured and then hand trimmed with a jig by a real American craftsman. Please note that AMC CJ frames had a wide variance for tolerance and therefore the best of intentions get you a good fit and not a perfect one. The parts are slotted to accommodate variances in frames.
