empowering people to turn vision into reality Our firm was organized in 1963 under the name Rooney, Musser & Associates, Inc.
and has since become RCM Architects, Inc. We are located in beautiful Downtown Findlay, Ohio between the historic Hancock County Courthouse and Coffee Amici.
Litzenberg Memorial Woods hosted a memorable Witches Night Out, featuring the whimsical Frog on a Spoon story, campfire stew, and an impressive gathering of costumed guests. As designers, we’re thrilled to see the space come alive in such creative, community-centered events that connect visitors with nature and storytelling. This is exactly the kind of atmosphere we envisioned—where the natural setting supports unique, immersive experiences for all ages.

The RCM team recently got out of the office, for a day, for our annual retreat. We returned to Put-In-Bay to participate in team building activities. We learned more about each other, the best ways to work together, and of course, relax and have fun.
At RCM, we all love our dogs, and other pets. It makes us all so happy to see Deke and his buddies using the new S.T.R.I.C.T. Center for training. We hope they enjoyed the new facility.
We have abundant blessings and want to share these blessings with our friends and neighbors throughout our community.
Recently, we were able to spend two shifts, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity of Findlay. Our associates painted, hung doors, and installed lights, smoke detectors, light switches, and outlets throughout two of the current, community build projects, here in Findlay. The projects are scheduled to wrap up construction over the next few weeks with the families receiving keys and moving in to their new houses in early October.
We are all grateful to be able to give back to our community!

Findlay - We are thrilled to announce the ribbon cutting of the City of Findlay’s Simulated Tactical Response & Incident Command Training, also known as the S.T.R.I.C.T. Center. This is located behind Fire Station #4 on County Road #236. This past Wednesday, we gathered with the Findlay Fire Department, many City and county officials, donors, and Mayor Muryn to celebrate this joyous and reflective occasion.
Included in the ceremony was a September 11th Memorial, honoring the response of FDNY and other emergency support operations. The Tolling of the Bell, or 5-5-5, is a tradition amongst fire houses, honoring those lives lost in the call of duty.
Initial planning for the STRICT Center began a few years back. Through collaborative efforts of Chief Josh Eberle, Assistant Chief Brian Sanders, Findlay Fire Fighters, City Police, Hancock County Sheriff and Township Fire Departments, local residents, donors, and consultants, the STRICT Center will serve as a hub for fire, police, and EMS training and education programs. It features a two structures on its campus – a training building with an internal search house, and a burn building. The Search House has moveable walls and partitions, throughout, so that no two simulations are the same. The lighting, fog machines, and other variables can create unique search and rescue situations to create “muscle memory” reactions to situations. The Burn Building will utilized strategically placed live fires throughout its multiple floors, access points, and various sized windows. The area around the burn building allows fire fighters the ability to drive a truck to the fire and train their set up scenarios, as well as attacking the fire from multiple or different vantage points.
RCM Architects is grateful to be a part of such a meaningful, community-drive project, and we are excited to see the facility come to life. Thanks to everyone who helped make this day a reality. Special h/t to our friends at Clouse Construction Corp. for their leadership in the construction of the complex!

Findlay - We are thrilled to announce the groundbreaking of the Findlay Family YMCA’s new Early Learning Center (ELC). This past Monday, we gathered with the YMCA and many of their board members, donors, and Mayor Muryn to celebrate this joyous occasion.
Initial planning for the ELC began a few years back. Through collaborative efforts of “The Y” staff, parents, residents, and consultants, the ELC will serve as a first phase of the overall daycare and recreation center complex.
Expected to open in early 2026, Phase #1 of YMCA complex features a 20,500 square-foot learning facility with infant, toddler, pre-K, and school-age rooms, a cafeteria/activities multi-use space, gross motor skills room and sensory-sensitive spaces, a private room for nursing mothers, meeting room and workroom spaces, a secure lobby, and maybe most importantly, interactive playground spaces for various age groups. These new spaces will allow The Y to serve 320 children.
RCM Architects is grateful to be a part of such a meaningful, community project, and are excited to see the facility come to life. Thanks to everyone who helped make this day a reality.

Findlay YMCA
is honored to play a part in these two pieces of history.
When it was Findlay High School, and later Central Middle School, RCM took part in many renovation, maintenance, and flood prevention projects at the school. When Central was no longer viable as a school building, then-RCM President, Jerry Murray, envisioned a new chapter for the former school’s theater. Tearing down the classroom wings, RCM was the Architect of Record for the Marathon Center for the Preforming Arts. This project expanded the theater into the 21st centery, included a block-box theater, state-of-the-art lighting, audio, and effects, and other stage-related amenities, and brought the former Art Deco theater into its new found glory!
Thank you Hancock Historical Museum for sharing the stories and photos, with the in Findlay’s history!

RCM Architects, Inc. is excited to share these renderings of ’s new . To be located at the southwest corner of Hardin Street and Grand Avenue, this facility will replace the YMCA’s existing Early Learning Center, at the corner of Lincoln and East Streets.
The latest planning and designs for the Early Learning Center will expand classroom and multi-purpose square footage while increasing efficiencies and internal logistics. This will allow the YMCA to accept more children into their programming while offering additional internships and training opportunity for Childcare providers. This raises the available offerings of childcare options through Findlay and Hancock County, which is desperately needed.
We are honored to be positively impacting our Findlay community!

RCM’s Design Team, led by former high school football players, themselves, Project Architect Michael Work (Tiffin Columbian) and Landscape Architect Brett Gies (Norwalk St. Paul), had an absolute blast working with Wilson’s team in the planning and designing the new facility where every football used in the 2024 season will be constructed.
The expanded facility includes a museum, a Wilson Store for all your sporting needs, offices, production floor, and a miniature football field for breaking-in your newly purchased Wilson Football. But football is a “number’s game,” so let’s look at some numbers:

2,000
… footballs produced in a day, at the former Wilson facility
3,000
… footballs to be produced in a day, in the new Wilson facility
650,000
… footballs to be produced in a year with the expanded space and improved logistics
EVERY TOUCHDOWN. EVERY EXTRA POINT. EVERY FIELD GOAL.
