Normally as I am sure most of you are aware I use the help of AI to craft my messages and make them fun for everyone. But not tonight.

Two things happen in September that are special for me. First it's my birthday month and although it's fun to celebrate with my kids and wife it's not the most important thing to me in September.

Anchored Sports was created to give back to the community and to create a fun space for everyone to get at least one smile or laugh on the course. September is also National Su***de Prevention and Awareness month. It's something I hold close to my heart and typically stay guarded against. But I also said Anchored was a platform for us to share our stories. Since I turned 18 I have personally lost 5 people in my life to su***de. Lives that got cut way to early. So instead of doing those birthday fundraisers. I will be donating 20% of all of September's sales to our local NAMI of Hancock County.

We all know someone who has or is struggling with this.

And please if someone confides in you please don't push them off or tell them to suck it up and that's just life. Help them get the help they need. I know all to well the pain of losing someone. Our door is always open at Anchored through messenger or email or phone.

As I approach the anniversary of starting All-Star Glove Repair, I plan to share some of my favorite gloves over the year. I have been blessed to be able to work on so many different gloves and have loved each and every one. In total, over 250 baseball and softball gloves have come through the doors for one service or another. I never would have guessed that to be the case over the first 365 days. To all of those that have supported me, brought your gloves in, or offered help in some way, thank you. What a ride this has been.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to an upcoming carpal tunnel surgery, I will be shutting down any repairs, relacing, or cleaning/conditioning starting September 26th through the month of October. At that point I will consider resuming operations as normal.

glove has been retired but sits in his oldest son’s room and he wants it to be restored. That’s where we come in. Keeps your eyes out for the final product. It’s going to be a nice turnaround!

From starter kit to current situation, it’s been a crazy amount of growth both personally and as a business over the last 9 months. Nearly 200 gloves in and out the door and there always seems to be more rolling in. I never would have dreamed this to grow this way, but I’m grateful for it all!
