We are almost to the end of June and we are 46% away from our goal! We need to raise over $49,000 to meet our $106,000 goal to be matched to $212,000. Recreation Unlimited is giving us $10,000 to TRIPLE match your donation to support our life-saving mission. So, now's the time to make your tax-deductible donations count! TRIPLE MY GIFT- hamiltonhumane.com/matching 🐾 In the past year, we have received a record number of stray animals and owner-surrendered pets - many of whom are seniors, sick, injured or victims of unthinkable neglect. Keeping up with the increasing, daily operating costs and life-saving care for more than 4,000 animals this year has been daunting... therefore your support is needed now more than ever. We need your help to give more animals the chance to live, love and be loved. Give more animals a fighting chance- donate below or at hamiltonhumane.com/matching ❤️🐾

Urgent Message from the President/CEO of HSHC
🚨 URGENT MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT/CEO 🚨
For the very first time, HSHC will be open on a Wednesday due to our current capacity crisis. On Wednesday, May 17, the shelter will be open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., with HSHC’s entire staff of 58 employees on hand to facilitate as many DOG adoptions and foster placements as possible. Adoption fees for all eligible dogs are up to you. We ask that you make a minimum donation of $1.00, but we hope you’ll give what you truly can. Please note that cat/kitten adoption fees will not be discounted.
Foster commitments must be a minimum of one week to provide a dog a stress break and open up space in our kennels. There is no cost for you to foster an animal, and HSHC will provide anything you need.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. Please fill out the adoption or foster application in advance, if possible, via the button(s) below.
2. If you have a dog(s), we require that they meet any dog you would like to adopt or foster. If travel time is a concern, feel free to bring your dog(s) with you and we will accommodate you.
3. Please come with the entire family so everyone can meet. Exceptions, depending on the dog, would be adult children who are away at college or no longer live at home.
4. If you rent or lease, please bring your pet policy to expedite the process.
5. Most importantly, please come. Just walk through and see if there is a dog that speaks to your heart.

SO MANY DOGS!
As we've been letting you all know, we are drowning in dogs. Join Stephanie as she walks the kennels and offices full of adoptable dogs. Please take a moment to listen to Stephanie talk about barrier frustration and why pups may bark or jump at the glass in the kennels- they just want to meet you so badly!
CHECK OUT OUR DOGS NOT ON OUR ADOPTION FLOOR
We are so full on dogs! Join Stephanie as she walks through our Holding Kennels and introduces you to some of our precious pups just waiting for their chance to shine. If you've been looking to adopt, there is no better time than now.
We are open from 12-5pm all weekend and you can submit and application online at HSHCAdoptions.com 🐾
Volunteer Appreciation From HSHC
We believe that volunteers are fantastic, but hear what our staff has to say about our amazing helpers who we could not operate without. From day to day operations to our biggest event of the year- volunteers are the reason we can do what we are able to do and for that, we thank you! ❤️🐾
This is the everyday reality of the dogs in our care. Because we are so full, there are so many different dogs for our community to choose from which means many go days or weeks without any interest. Just take a look at Otterpop. His heart is hurting and he needs someone to rescue him. How can you help? Adopt don’t shop. Foster to give animals a break. Donate to ensure every animal is taken care of. ❤️
About a year ago we posted a very sad video about a pup named Rocky. To this day, we get asked "how is Rocky doing?" Well, we are happy to report that Rocky, now known as Pete, is doing fantastic in his home. But don't take it from us- hear it from Pete and his doggy dad! 🚨 REMINDER 🚨 In honor of Pit Bull Education Month, HSHC is offering Priceless Adoptions on all Pit Bull and Bully Breed dogs (1 year and older) until March 31st. ❤️ What are Priceless Adoptions? ❤️ We know that the love and companionship of a Pit Bull is priceless. Instead of the standard adoption fee, we will ask for a donation, of any amount, at the time of adoption. As a truly no-kill, open admission shelter, this donation will help us provide the care needed for the next "Rocky" that comes in our doors. If you cannot adopt, please consider fostering or donating🐾
Rocky Update
We posted our famous Rocky video about a year ago. We often get asked how Rocky is doing in his furever home. Well, we are happy to report, he's settled right in and he has an awesome doggy dad! But don't just take it from us! Hear what Rocky, now known as Pete, and El Rey have to say about it!
