I need a Doug. Over the past 22+ years we’ve had a fire, survived Covid, had a car run through the front door and somebody writing fake checks from the business checking account, twice. I’ve seen the best and worst and survived it all. But, this guy retired in May and moved to Vegas and, well, I don’t know how I’m going to survive. 😂 He was my maintenance guy that could fix just about anything electric and plumbing. From broken fryers and a pizza oven to changing filters and replacing an electric line that got spliced with a metal wall anchor to broken booths and epoxing floors and everything in between. I had a ‘Doug’ list that was never ending. He fixed things when I was at Outback Steakhouse, long before CR Heroes. I’ve known him 30 years and trusted him to fix ALL the things. I’ve been searching for a ‘Doug’ for the past few months. Someone who won’t charge me a $130 trip charge, $130/hour, sell me something I don’t need and magically morph in at 11:30pm when I leave a panicked voicemail because my brand new $14,000 water heater won’t turn on. (I didn’t expect him to show up at 11:30 btw, I just wanted it fixed in the morning) So, who’s out there? Who do you know or recommend? I need a handyman or an electrician who’s also a handyman. I need a new Doug. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

We had our annual staff party on Sunday Funday and, instead of Kings Island this year, we did Christmas in July! If we don’t have a dedicated to-go person on any given night then we save any tips and do something as a staff! (I supplement of course 😉) We played fun minute to win it games, gave away over $6000 in cash prizes, gift cards and Christmas in July t-shirts, enjoyed ice cream from Moo and Lou’s Frozen Treats (they’re amazing btw and located at 56th/Post Road), and had an awesome bounce house for all of the staffs kiddos. Of course, a few staff members rocked that bounce house too…Brock 👀. Plus, Santa 🎅🏼 stopped by for pictures and some crafts! I should’ve catered it instead of cooking for 70 people! I know better and, well, my face says it all. Hahaha. Anyway, THANK YOU to all of our wonderful guests who leave tips on Togo orders. We would still have a party but, because of YOU we have really fantastic parties! ❤️ And, if you know anyone looking for a job and would like to work with the greatest group of people, I’m HIRING now! I need a couple of servers (especially someone who can bartend days, cover an occasional night bar shift and serve any shifts), and we need a couple of hosts/expos to replace some that are leaving for college 😢 Apply in person, get hired and never work a Sunday Funday again because we are closed Sundays and Mondays! Wooo hoooooo!
