Hottest day of the summer and naturally it was paving day!

Most people don't think about what goes in the ground on a new jobsite but it is a lot of hard work!

Looking good on this beautiful Friday! Hats off to our crews who are working long days to make it happen!

We are looking to hire a few construction laborers. Experience would be preferred but willing to train the right person. Attitude, willingness to learn, showing up ready to work and on time are all as important as experience.

Sitework/Earthwork Laborer
This position requires physical strength. You will perform various tasks through out all stages of the construction process. CDL license would be great but not required.

• Clean and prepare construction sites
• Remove trees and debris
• Tend pumps, compressors, and generators
• Erect and disassemble temporary structures such as fencing
• Load and unload materials to the appropriate locations
• Work with some machinery; ie: compactors, jack hammers, cut off saws, cement mixers, water trucks and drive a dump truck.
• Installation and maintenance of traffic control signs, cones and barricades
• Dig trenches
• Install sewer, water, and storm drainpipes
• Utilize laser guidance equipment and levels
• Shoot grades
• Asphalt patching on roads.

Ability to take and follow direction from supervisor

On-time and willing to work overtime if necessary, transportation and willing to travel if necessary.

Proficient in Safety
• Ensure safe work environment at all times
• Adhere to all OSHA, State & Local regulations as well as company safety program, OSHA 10 hour certificate required

Our crew rocked it on grading for the first of six pours for this building in Haverhill. Right on the amount anticipated for concrete yardage. Nice work!!

We are seeking energetic-motivated and experienced people to join our team to help build commercial and industrial sitework projects throughout Massachusetts. We are currently seeking team players to work in a positive, no-nonsense atmosphere dedicated to making it happen.

Minimum 3 years’ experience of Heavy Equipment Operation in Sitework/Earthwork
Excavator ~ Loader ~ Backhoe ~ Dozer ~ Skid-Steer ~ Vibratory Roller & More
Ability to take and follow direction from supervisor
Self-starter……Show’s initiative
On-time and willing to work overtime if necessary
Responsible for care & routine maintenance of equipment
Some experience with GPS machine control a plus!
Pipe installation, fine grading, foundation E & B, curb installation, etc.
Valid Hoisting License, OSHA 10 hour certificate
Proficient in Safety

Ensure safe work environment at all times
Adhere to all OSHA, State & Local regulations as well as company safety program,
Candidates must be willing to travel to various jobsites and have a means of transportation, a valid hoisting license for operators and OHSA 10 for all. Pay varies with experience.

Estimators are responsible for evaluating drawings and bid specifications in order to determine project requirements and estimate costs. We are seeking a candidate who is thorough, efficient, creative and above all, passionate about providing excellent client service.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Estimator typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Review and understand all project plans, requirements and specifications
Prepare quantity take off with In-Site Software and other systems.
Conduct site visits to assess/analyze site conditions and to determine how subcontractor pricing may be affected.
Review and understand all bid documents and assess project risks
Understand project logistics and project schedule
Solicit subcontractor and vendor bids for current pricing for each project.
Prepare bid packages and compare and analyze competitive subcontract and supplier bids
Review quotes and estimates with Project Team and prepare recommendations
Track and report on current material and labor prices, including escalation
Ability to substantiate all aspects of final estimates
Assist with pricing for extra work and change orders as needed.
Assist with submittal packages if needed

Requirements:

Degree in Engineering/Construction Management or working towards
Organized and Detailed oriented. Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
InSite Earthwork Software knowledge helpful - but we are willing to train
Strong communication skills in dealing with architects, engineers, subcontractors and material suppliers.
