Block Club - UM-Flint

Block Club would like to thank EVERYONE that came to the fashion show last week and not only supported us as an organization but also the models as well! That night was also a night to honor the memory of a beloved member of our community; Jaylynn Gates whose style was so iconic we had to have a category just to honor her and give her the flowers.

That night could not have been possible if it also wasn't for those behind the scenes like our hairstylist and makeup artist: .keyes and who kept us entertained throughout the night along with who kept the vibe on 100! Thank you to our photographer

We would also like to shout out the vendors as well; who sold beautiful jewelry! who sold body butter and lotions that smelled out of this world! As well as with those gorgeous press-on nails! Please consider supporting these Flint-based businesses!!

Again thank you to everyone involved and all those that came out, hope to see you next year!!

Today, the U-M Board of Regents approved the expansion of the to University of Michigan-Dearborn and University of Michigan-Flint students beginning this fall. Today’s Wolverine Wednesday is Ashley Mcintosh! Ashley coordinated and lead the UMFlint Students for Black Lives Matter Rally! She is also the president of Block Club - UM-Flint. We appreciate her hard work and stand by her call to action to create more awareness and address racial injustice through events on campus. Ashley truly embodies what being a Leader is and being the best!

6th Annual Fashion Show on Friday, April 5,2019 in the Michigan Rooms. Our Theme this year is WarZone.

Join Block Club’s 2nd Annual Hustle Night in collaboration with Afrobella, ASA, Phaze Out, NPHC, and BSU this Friday, March 1, 2019 at 5pm in Michigan Rooms A-D. Learn many different hustles with Phaze Out leading the way through this exciting night with food and fun. You don’t want to miss this!

We are tabling all this week selling candy grams for Valentine’s Day. And we will deliver them the day of Valentine’s Day to classrooms etc. We will be tabling Tuesday Feb 5,2019- Tuesday February 12,2019 from 1:30pm-3:30pm in the 3rd Floor UCEN.

Our skating and laser tag event is free for the first 65 people who sign up. The first 55 people will receive FREE transportation there and back! We are tabling this week starting today in the 3rd Floor UCEN 1:30pm-3:30pm we will be tabling for this event until Friday.

Block Club invites you all to come out and Join Us for our 4th Annual Safety Awareness March Monday, October 22,2018 from 6pm-8pm. Meet us in the UCEN lobby. Block Clubs interactive safety awareness march! The march is 1.5 miles with safety tips being given on how to keep safe on campus. After the march there will be free pizza and refreshments.
