We have been monitoring the weather and have been working with Wilson County Emergency Services to make well-informed decisions to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Due to extended overnight freezing temperatures and a 70% chance of precipitation, we feel it is unsafe for our buses, students, staff, and parents to be out on the roads in these conditions. LVISD will be closed on Wednesday, February 1st.

We will continue to monitor the weather. The weather forecast for the remainder of the week will be above freezing.

🚨UPDATE🚨Due to worsening changes in the forecast for tonight into tomorrow morning and possible hazardous driving conditions, all FISD campuses and offices will be closed on Wednesday, February 1.

Decisions to close schools are difficult, and Floresville ISD has been closely monitoring the National Weather Service for the latest information on the winter storm conditions, as well as working with city and county officials to determine the most appropriate course of action for the safety of our students and staff. Continue to watch for updates on our district website and our social media channels.

Floresville ISD has been monitoring the weather and will continue to do so throughout the day, as Wilson County is currently under a Winter Storm Warning. We are working with Wilson County Emergency Management to stay updated on the latest conditions, assess the situation, and make well-informed decisions to ensure the safety of our students, parents, and staff. Any school closures or delays will be announced via parent communication, on the FISD website, and on our social media pages.

We encourage parents/guardians to make sure their contact information is up to date in Skyward to ensure weather updates are delivered promptly.

Small Town Hosts Big-Time Shootout Between undefeated Gun Slingers  — Texas Boxing Scene Floresville is a small town about a half-hour south of San Antonio, population 7,000.
